Excellent work suedonym!! You've done a lot, but it sounds like you've got lots more to do - I'll be working all day tomorrow, and will be cheering you on! What was under your carpet??? Do you have wood floors??

In most of the house, hard wood floors were under the carpet. Unfortunately there are lots of stains. Someday, I plan to try staining the floor a dark shade, and if that doesn't do the trick, I'll look into refinishing. I'm just afraid the stains are too deep to sand. Maybe I'll end up putting fake wood on top of my hard wood! In the room I ripped out last night, it is concrete underneath, because the room used to be a garage. So it's not exactly lovely right now, but the carpet was disintegrating and one of my foster kitties who didn't take to the litter box had done a lot of damage too. I see her use the litter box now, so hopefully without the carpeting beckoning her, she won't keep looking fr other places to go.
