Okay, have to get my butt moving and do something before it gets late and I decide to give up. I have a lot of paperwork to do, which I hate WAY more than I hate housework. SO ......... I think I should alternate between working on some housework and doing some paperwork. That way I will know that my paperwork is time-limited and I can soon move on to something more rewarding. Ta Da! Face washed & medicated cream applied Washed dishes in sink Fed kitties & fresh water To Do: Spend 15 mins on paperwork Spend 15 mins picking up clutter from bedroom floor Throw away 7 pieces of mail Carrie

I am proud of myself for getting my list done last night. I tend to start later in the day because I am a night owl by nature. So, here is what I want to finish before bed tonight. At least one load of laundry, washed, dried, folded and put away. Clean out fridge and freezer to make more room (I ususally do this about once every 2 weeks or so, but since the ants have invaded, I have to find more room for cabinet food to keep it safe. Grr!) ABOUT 1/3 DONE. Finish cleaning out pantry (due to the dang ants. I am half done now, but I want to finish today.) ABOUT 3/4 DONE. Put away dishes from dishwasher. Read for 15-30 mins straight without getting distracted, feeling guilty or being interrupted. I MAY STILL GET TO DO THIS TONIGHT, BUT IT'S NOT LOOKING PROMISING. I AM FEELING DISCOURAGED. I AM VERY TIRED, AND DON'T SEEM TO BE MAKING HEADWAY FAST ENOUGH TO SUIT ME. GRR. I AM STILL WRESTLING WITH THE ANTS. THE PANTRY STILL HAS TWO SHELVES TO GO AND I HAVE HAD TO PUT ALL THE FOOD INTO GROCERY BAGS. IT MAKES ME SAD TO "CLEAN", BUT THEN THE APARTMENT LOOKS EVEN MORE MESSY. I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS STUFF FOR 5+ HRS TODAY AND I AM SICK OF IT. I HATE TO LEAVE MY LIST UNFINISHED, BUT I AM STARTING TO FEEL ANGRY, SO I THINK I AM GOING TO STOP FOR TONIGHT, AND THEN CONTINUE AGAIN TOMORROW. SIGH....

I feel your pain about the ants, CrimsonKat! We have tried everything, including an ongoing professional sevice, to get rid of them. They're still here. We have every open thing they might get into in ziploc bags in the cabinets. If you find a solution, please share!
DONE: -ran the dishwasher -emptied the dishwasher -ate lunch (and dinner) and cleaned up after -sorted magazines for recycling -got the recycling to the curb -set bags on the porch for charity pickup tomorrow -sorted a cabinet shelf with DH and tossed the outdated/open/junk stuff
TO DO: -veg on the couch and watch TV until I get sleepy
