This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM![/size][/b]

Good Morning Tiger and Carrie, Tiger, Good for you for getting moving despite feel slow and doped. That's a great accomplishment in itself. Carrie, I'm so sorry about Molly. I hope you find her, whatever the outcome soon. I'm feeling a bit sluggish, but hopeful I'll get something accomplished today. Yesterday was a bust, well, I shouldn't say that. I got all the daily maintenance done and that's a big deal! I just didn't work on the laundry room like I had planned. DD is at a slumber party and since I don't have to leave to collect her until 9:30, I thought I would try and get some done on it... we'll see Tadas: Got up and made bed. Made coffee / tea. Picked up dirty clothes from bathroom/bedroom floors and put toothbrushes and paste away. Vacuum floor. Pull all the dirty clothes out of the laundry room into the hallway and sort them into piles. Recycle laundry. I can do that...

Happy Tuesday!
At least my sleep-fogged brain thinks it's Tuesday. Thanks for starting the thread, madtiger! I'm with you on the slow moving. It's slow, but it's moving!
I hope Molly turns up at the shelter, carrie7on.
Good for you, merrymaid, for getting going on laundry!
I haven't managed to do three things yet, but I've started:
DONE: -fed the new cat (He's a youngish flame-point Siamese we've named Beau that some friends of ours raised from a kitten. They wanted a couch-potato cat. He's so not!) -took morning meds
TO DO: -make the bed -shower and dress -scoop a cat box
More later, when I wake up.

WantingMore, Sometimes I can get myself started by setting the timer for 5 minutes and working on one area... it kind of jumpstarts the rest of my todo lists... sometimes! I hope you find a way around your wall. I've made a start on the laundry room... there's so much to do in there! I'm okay with not getting it finished this week, but I want to at least change the look of it and then maintain it for awhile. We'll see though! Tadas: Vacuum floor. Pull all the dirty clothes out of the laundry room into the hallway and sort them into piles. Recycle laundry. Brush teeth, wash face. Get dressed. Recycle laundry if it's ready, Swish and swipe bathroom.

Got 2 hrs before I have to go in to work...........feeling physically better than I have the past few days, but kinda down mood-wise. Just going to do small things the next couple of hrs and then try to work on paperwork when I return this evening. Ta Da!: 3 work-related phone calls (after 9) Call animal shelter to check for Molly (they haven't gotten any tabbies in) Scoop and fresh food & water for kitties To Do: Wash dishes in sink Wash face & put medicated cream on Wash out 2 plastic storage bins that I found Carrie

Afternoon, Folks!
Great minds running in the same channel: Merrymaid, DH and I are doing the one-a-day thing, too. We're re-organizing a shelf a day in the kitchen cabinets. There's waaaaaaay too much outdated junk in there.
I'm sorry the shelter hasn't picked up Molly yet, Carrie. No wonder you're down. Doing little things counts, too.
DONE: -made the bed -scooped the cat box -showered and dressed -dealt with a ton of email -worked for a while on a quilt top
TO DO: -take a nap--I'm still excessively sleepy -eat a late lunch and clean up after it -load and run the dishwasher
There's more, but it will look easier if I'm rested.
