This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Hi WIT sibs; great job on getting all that laundry done everyone. hypatia, you're amazing; 9 months pregnant and you're going strong! Hi Syzygy, artsy, rose, lion.
When I leave in early morning to do gardening jobs, I often don't get to post. Then the day is like a runaway train. i'm home on break that is ending up being a day of resistance. My mojo definitely is NOT working!
ta das: made bed dishes yoga class morning gardening job brunch
to dos: lie down for 1/2 hour, set alarm get up and go do at least 2 hours of work social engagements this evening
Have a wonderful day/evening everyone!

Hi all --
Been AWOL for a bit. I have been swallowed up by half-completed messy projects, and feeling like I am visually -- and actually -- backsliding. Feeling like I would not be honest posting here, when I am treading water to stay close to the same place as the current drifts me further away.
I did try chat for half an hour last night, but no one else was there.
Today I wasted most of the morning dealing with Microsoft problems created by their issuing a new update which caused me to loose internet connections. (Have I mentioned how much I hate Microsoft???) Then I wasted another couple of hours this afternoon checking out alternative websites for planned summer vacation -- trying various combinations of dates and rental car reservations. Grrrrrrr. I don't see why they make it so hard for the consumer.
Anyway, it's great to see artsygal, merrymaid, threeg, syzygy, hypatia and creativechaos have been working on their WITs today. Hope you're able to get back to a regular sleep cycle, artsygal -- and hope things with your BFF's health are getting better. Merrymaid, you're always amazing when you can post two lists of TADAs before heading off to work. ThreeG, glad your car took you shopping and back OK. Good luck with the car-shopping. Syzygy, hope the vet visit was routine. Hypatia, hope your DH is able to be home to welcome child #3. My cousin's husband was on a sub during the birth of their first daughter -- it was terribly hard for both parents. Creativechaos, sometimes it's better to nap and then start work again refreshed. Have fun tonight!
TADAs: 1. Got computer internet access again with only 3 hours wasted. 2. Refrained from putting contract out on Bill Gates and Paul Allen. 3. Thought seriously about getting an Apple laptop (although I'd have to get an external keyboard if I want my hands to be happy ... which kinda defeats the portability and ease of owning a laptop).
4. Read magazine while waiting on hold. Put it in recycling. 5. Printed out computer labels for recent batches of jams and conserves. Labeled jars while waiting on hold. Put trash in recycling. 6. Refrained from putting contract on entire Microsoft staff.
7. Had a grazing lunch while waiting on hold. 8. Worked a bit on scraping burned stuff off bottom of pot while on hold. Started unloading dishwasher. 9. Was civil to the person who finally answered the phone on the Microsoft help line.
10. Researched air fares and car rental rates 11. Several calls to cousins about summer plans 12. Logged on here
TODOs: 1. Finish unloading dishwasher 2. Put more dishes in it to run later today after peak energy use is over 3. Water plants
more later
