Hi Syzygy -- You've been doing a lot of Bites and Nibbles already today. Good job! Isn't Freecycle great?
Hypatia, I read your story about the garage and six loads of S*T*U*F*F* outa there (on another thread). How great!
It's great to see how much progress you all have been making today.
TADAs: 1. Up/dressed/breakfast 2. Arranged and wrapped birthday cookies 3. More progress on sorting through books for possible donation or giving away *bonus* starting a batch of jelly
TODOs: 1. Organize books to be kept alphabetically and my topic -- try to find 10 more to donate or give away 2. Continue making jelly 3. Start making butter
Hope you all have good days (and evenings, for Rosebud).

Freecycle (and charities) make it so much easier to give up stuff. I wouldn't be able to throw away "perfectly good" things, but I can easily give things away to people who need them.
Unfortunately, I've been hit recently on Freecycle with people who claim to want every item on a long and diverse list, who are just collecting stuff to sell themselves. And there are more people who are looking for stuff (including brand new items and tickets to events) than those offering.
Anyway,
Ta dah * Lunch * Load #1 upstairs and put away * Load #2 in dryer
To do * More

Late post for me. I read all of your posts WTG all!! last night I was thinking of things that were blocking me from cleaning. A major factor for me is the heat and HUMIDITY. 5 yrs ago, I bought a small air conditioner for LR (I have two story house). I would live, sleep etc in my LR, with a huge sheet of course between the DR. Last year a purchased one for my upstairs BR, so I could sleep in my bed. This year I bought a heavy duty one for DR facing LR , If it cools both LR and DR I will take the one in the LR and put it in the kitchen, which faces into the DR. Okay that was like a logic problem. Anyways I finally installed the Big one so i can clean in cool. That was rambling and long sorry, . tadas -lew poo -coffee -installed air conditioner -fed and watered pets -drank lots of water -washed throws todos -make a master list for DR -make a list for LR -15 minutes of anything off of lists best, artsy

De-crapify. What a great word. And great job on de-crapifying so soon after you posted it as a TODO. Glad you're making your home more conducive to working, artsygal. TADAs: 1. Current batches of jam and jelly in hot water bath right now -- last step of process. 2. Organized two and a half topics worth of books. 3. More work on stubborn burned-on stuff on bottom of pot. That's what I get for disappearing in my study and getting caught up in things. *bonus* let my fingers do the walking by calling stores to see if they had what I needed before driving all over creation TODOs: 1. Pack picnic dinner 2. Run errands 3. Meet friends for free outdoor event this evening. Hope you all continue to do well! WestsideStory

Wow! Just read through this whole thread and there was soooo much done today!! Excellent work everyone!! (Mellow, thanks for reminding me I want to check the wild blueberries this weekend). It's getting late in the evening, but I had a little nap when I got home from work, so I think I can get a few things done before bed time. Tomorrow I only work a few hrs, so I should be able to get LOADS done, as long as the darn fatigue doesn't take over too much. Ta Da! Fed cats & scooped Washed dinner dishes Helped dd with her French for 15 mins To Do: Throw away at least 5 pieces mail Launch under-bed exploration to determine what kind of stuff is in remaining boxes Wash out large filing box and add hanging file folders I'll check the chatroom every 15 mins or so in case anyone feels like popping in.
