This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Good Afternoon Rosebud You've done wonderful!! I hope your afternoon is busy in a good way. Hi Carrie Enjoy your slumber I'm going to crash again as soon as dd is at camp I think.... I worked 16 hours last night on top of a 2 hour drive (both ways.) I'm dead tired! Tadas: Got up and made bed!! A very big tada this morning!! Made coffee / tea Recycled laundry Figure out what I can give dd to eat for lunch. Pack it. Get dd's clothes ready (at least I'm almost caught up on the laundry.) Wake dd up, feed her, and take her to camp. I have to do all that in 50 minutes... and I haven't had my tea yet (it's too hot to drink!)

Good morning MerryMaid!! Good for you getting dd up and fed and off to camp! Hope you have a nice nap, you deserve it! Rosebud, hope your errands went well. You're on a roll today! I have to go to work in half an hr, but will be home on a lunch break in the middle of the day. I WISH I could stay home today to do some housework, since I did get a nice sleep on the couch this morning and I'm feeling kind of chipper at the moment. (Seems a shame to waste it at work! ) I've been so fatigued and sluggish lately it actually feels odd to feel awake and alert for a change! My theory for the fatigue has changed from thinking it's probably allergies to wondering if it might be that I'm going into menopause. It's a little early for it, but I could be in that peri-menopause or something. I have often heard that fatigue and poor concentration is a common symptom ........ anyway, something to check out when I visit the GYN next Monday! Ta Da! Made Coffee Showered Ate breakfast/Took meds To Do: Wash breakfast dishes Scoop and fresh food & water for cats Get dressed & head out to work Carrie

Have a good day at work, Carrie. It's nice you live close enough to home to come home for lunch. Just got back from taking dd to camp.... it was canceled She's upset and wants to go to the babysitters. Her babysitter is fun, has a pool, lots of kids, and is a great place to be. I'm not sure I'm going to let her It's expensive. I know she'll have a good time and I'll probably get the money from the camp back. (they needed 10 kids and only had 3!) But it won't be for a while. I've got so much to do today on top of being exhausted, that I can't entertain her.... what to do? what to do? Anyway, tadas: Figure out what I can give dd to eat for lunch. Pack it. Get dd's clothes ready (at least I'm almost caught up on the laundry.) Wake dd up, feed her, and take her to camp. Todo: Make list of what to take with us. Recycle laundry. Make grocery list.

Hi Hypatia,
Good start, especially on the laundry (my nemesis)
Done: 1. Watered pepper plants using water from dehumidifier. 2. Took wet clothes from washer, lugged it upstairs, and hung outside to dry. 3. Scrubbed casserole dish and sink.
1. Decluttered and cleaned kitchen counter. 2. Poured new container of cat food into storage tins. 3. Phoned parents for their anniversary. (harder than it seems because I don't really care about "special days" like birthdays and all that, but realize that I have to show some interest, because it means a lot to most people in the world!!!)
To Do: 1. Strip bed and put fresh linen. Make bed. 2. Water plants on deck. 3. Sort through one hanging folder of bills/important papers. Pay bills.
Big To Do: Organize all paperwork and determine what my monthly budget is. (I have no clue how much I spend, because I don't spend a lot, and I always have enough... but I need to calculate the different amounts for my adoption paperwork)
