Good morning Rexroth, CanDo, Eagle, and Carrie7on! Sounds like everybody is off to a great start this weekend.
I really, really, really need to work on my house today. The last few days, it's been cooler than normal for July in SW Missouri, so baby and I have been out and about a lot, at least before noon, when it gets too warm for him. I also have been working out at Curves every morning as soon as my hubby gets home from his all-night shift. Between all the workouts and the extra walking, I've been exhausted once I get home. Ugh, my house shows it, too. It makes me a little upset that I'm the only person here who cares at all about what the house looks like, but when I get resentful and dig my heels in about cleaning, matters just get worse. I'll just have to train my fellow barbarians by trying to be a good example to them... at least I'll be happier with the house.
Anyhow, I've been trying to bust though a weight loss plateau. I want to get back under 200 pounds, and I'd been stuck at 202 pounds for weeks without budging, no matter what. So I tried eating a little bit more food, and exercising more this week. Seems to be working, because I'm now
at 200 lbs, so I'm moving in the right direction. Almost to my first goal...
Working out takes a lot more out of me than it used to. I think I'll feel better, and less tired in general if I reduce the visible mess around here. Looking at messes makes me want to soothe my soul with chocolate. *frustrated*
I'm tired, but I'll get something done today, even at a snail's pace.
Listzilla!

Scrub downstairs bathroom sink.
Put away some laundry that is sitting around folded in our bedroom.
Post to sewing/crafting blog.
Start another load of wash.
Find more t-shirts in my dresser that I keep passing over, and either move them to winter storage, or put them on the "refashion" pile for cutting up and sewing into something new.
A bag of something, anything, for the thrift shop.
Take a trash bag and go around the house till it is full of useless junk. Take to outdoor trash can. Don't look back. Enlist the kid's help with this.
Cut out some patterns for sewing practice, using old T-shirts for my fabric. If I end up making wadders, I haven't wasted any money on them...
Put the cut pieces in gallon ziplock bags so they are ready to sew next time I feel I have a moment to spend at the machine.
Decide what I might sew in the next week, and put away whatever patterns don't make the cut.
Unload/reload dishwasher, after getting son to bring down his dish mess.
Help 8 year old with his room.
Toys off living room floor, whether by me or kids or both.
Do something about the carpet in living room. Anything is better than leaving it as it is. See what happens in ten minutes of hard work.
Off I go...
