Another thrilling chapter in the "Inspection" saga....
As most of you know, my annual inspection was postponed in November because I had a couple of two-day hospitalizations in November and December. The inspector gave me extra time to get my home organized. When I talked to her on the phone, she said she would come by to inspect January 15th.
So today my aide came over and we both worked hard -- she did the stuff I couldn't do, and I did the stuff I could do. When we finished two hours and fifteen minutes later, my bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were stage ZERO and my living room a stage 1/2!
My aide left for her next client and I spent the rest of the day working on the living room. Five o'clock came and went....and the inspector never came! I was a bit disappointed. The one time I WANTED her to come, and she didn't show up!
I'm guessing she might come sometime next week. I'm not going to call her right now. If she doesn't come in two weeks, then I'll probably call her office and find out what's going on. But I'll use the extra time to continue tidying the living room.
She didn't come while I was gone. When they inspect, they leave a paper on your kitchen counter telling you if you've passed or failed, what areas to work on, and any other comments.
This is the first time in a LONG time I'm not afraid of failing the inspection. That's a good feeling.

That's great you have extra time! Bit of a bummer though that you worked so hard and they didn't get to see it. Keep up the good work!

This is the first time in a LONG time I'm not afraid of failing the inspection. That's a good feeling. YAY !!! It just warms my hear to read this. Yay Rennie for having the courage to ask for and accept help by getting the aide ... and for doing as much as you yourself were able to do. -

I am REALLY happy for you and your aide. It's disappointing that you didn't get to show your accomplishments, but think of how wonnnnnderfully peaceful it is to just sit down, look around and enjoy the fruits of your labors!
WELL DONE!

Rennie, this is terrific. Just look what you've accomplished. How wonderful that you can open that door to the inspector without a fear in the world. Enjoy what you've created until she arrives and, better yet, after she leaves. You have a home to be proud of and enjoy living in.

How wonderful Rennie that you were ready to open that door. Sorry you didn't get to show off all your hard work to the inspector but its YOU that gets to benefit from level zero! Sit down, put your feet up, look around and just enjoy the view.
Way to go, Carolinastomper
