All nighters are for night owls like my Sweetie, my kids, and you.
I am a morning person, and like Prezzana I just can't stay up all night.
I find an advantage to being a morning person, though. During the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, when we were in a hotel, I went to bed early as usual and got up at 4AM to go do my laundry. The laundry room was empty, I was able to get it started, use the exercise room alone, get a cup of coffee and read the paper while the dryer was running.
When another lady came in around 5:30, she was shocked that there was no one else there, even though the hotel was filled to capacity. She had been up until after 1AM trying to get her laundry done, and had to give up, there were so many people. I told her that everyone thinks to stay up late and do it, but very few people want to get up super early.
Either way, morning or night person, do what works best for you, at the time when you have the most energy.

I have in the past, in my younger years...when we rented both we and the landlady knew that legally we had to have twenty-four hours notice before she could come in and inspect our home. So I would pull a massive all-nighter to get the house cleaned up in time for her visit, and mostly by myself since my husband works nights. Wow, I really did do that more times than I care to remember. I have done it a few times since we moved in here in 2000, in pre-SS days. The past few years, though, I've discovered that I just can't do them like I used to, even though my body loves nighttime and hates days. I can IF I am not doing something physically stressful like crisis cleaning...I have pulled allnighters doing something like repairing a laptop or cooking/baking, but I usually try to get at least a couple hours of sleep at around sunrise. Of course, the irony of my typing this at 4:26 AM is not escaping me. So, I try very hard to keep things in order so I don't HAVE to do all night crisis cleaning, and save allnighters for something more enjoyable.

I used to do my last minute Christmas cleaning the minute the kids left to visit dad's family and go until the wee hours of the am (3-4 am). Music - snacks - rock n roll. My body - if left to its own devices will be ok in am - fade by midday and struggle along until evening. I use to prefer to take alate day nap and then wake up and start going as it got dark. Unfortunately - my job doesn't allow that and my kids bus schedule (and now dogs) got me up by 6 am so now I'm trained to wake up early and let dogs out but I still fade in midday and afternoon. I just prefer moonlight .... MizSeeker

I have not pulled an all nighter. I'd be afraid of not waking up in time for my boys. I'm really tempted to though.

I bet I've pulled at least 100 all-nighters over the years, finishing freelance art projects. (I've always been a serial procrastinator, and have always had a commercial art day job too).
I've only pulled one all-nighter cleaning though.
When my apartment was at its worst, I broke my key off in my front door lock. I took the lock apart myself but still couldn't get the key out, so as a last resort I had to call the apt. maintenance man. Luckily he couldn't come until the next morning, so I had time to clean up before he arrived. He would not have had any room to work if I hadn't have cleaned up, and I didn't want to give him the impression that my place was an out-of-control mess.
So I spent all night cleaning my foyer area (which is only a few feet across) and the entrance of my apt (another area of only a few feet). It took around 16 hours of solid work just to clean up a very small area. You couldn't even open up the front door all the way before then, because there was so much stuff behind it. Boy am I glad those days are behind me.

I used to pull all-nighters in college. Always with plenty of hot coffee and another dorm-mate or two. Took test next day, then came home and crashed. Never did a cleaning all-nighter. Don't have the energy.
