Well, it's slightly snowing here in Massachusetts, but it's not going to amount to anything. This weekend, or at least Sunday and Monday are supposed to be 50 degrees! I'm lovin it! I love Spring. It's like we have another brand new chance to do it right. Flowers, and color, and birds, and warmth. Can't wait!

16 Days Ohhhh.... HopeHope You have a new word for me "crocii" -- plural of "crocus". Thank you!! From Wikipedia: Crocus (plural: crocuses, croci) The wonderful rays of the Sun are back today. I must get outside and let some soak in. Snow patches be gone!! Forgot to note: I will be off-line for 2-3 days. Please carry on the countdown 15, 14, 13....

When I let Mizz lady out this morning for her daily chase the squirrels and smell the rabbit tracks run, I heard the birdies singing in the trees! Sure sign that Spring is slowly returning to western New York!

- We've had spring here for over a month. It's been quite warm. All the fruit trees are in full blossom. The daffodils are blooming everywhere. This weekend our apartment garden plot was weeded and prepared for planting (but nothing planted yet). It feels like May .. as if summer is fast approaching. Yet .... SNOW is predicted for this week here! [glow=pink,2,300]13 more days[/glow]until the Equinox ! -

Last week we had snowdrops, crocuses and early irises in London. The days are light and sometimes very clear and sunny yet still icy cold.
Spring will come.

12 Days We are 99.99% devoid of snow on the ground!! It's mostly gone except for remnants of the really big snowplowed piles. Actually, I only saw one small pile in 19-mile drive home this morning. In New Jersey (USA) we are at a balmy 60 degrees F. No hint of color yet from flower bulbs. We have the winter green of evergreen trees and scrubs and brown of barren deciduous tree limbs. The sky is a beautiful crystal clear blue with few clouds and the Sun's rays have been bright since early morning. All conditions are moving in the right direction for early Spring flowers. I can't wait!!!

Saw first robin this morning!!! Need to rake some snow off a flower bed. The matching bed has almost melted off. If I don't remove the mound of snow from this bed it's tulips will not bloom at the same time as the other bed, and I prefer that they flower at the same time. Much more showy. (That is showy, not snowy.) Temps in low to mid forties, and looks like the cottonwood trees are budding out.

The flower pics are beautiful.
Here in Alaska where I live we got soooo much snow in the past 24 hours or so and it's still snowing. It is a beautifu white powdery snow. you just never know what it's going to do in March.
But i will count down to spring with you! Keep those flower pics coming!

10 More Days
(Don't know how to make those large colorful letters. I can only do color in SMALL letters).
10 More Days
I finally figured it out!!!
Got the snow raked off of the tulip bed. Found ONE green, inch long sprout peeping out among the roses. Don't know if it is tulip or daffodil, but I am so excited to find it.
Temps to hit 49 this week. Yaaaaaaaay!!!
