This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Going to go to sleep soon, but I want this list waiting for me when I wake up. I didn't get to finish my list for July 17, plus I have a few more things to add to today. Goodnight for now! Wash and refill hummingbird feeder, fill birdseed, water plants on patio Shower & get ready for day Pick up living room floor (kitty toys) and vacuum Laundry Shred old paper, bag it & put out for recycle (at least 15 mins) Finish loading dishes and run dishwasher Maintainence on kitchen Straighten coffeetable. DH clean catboxes For me: Read for 30 mins. Bleach teeth Update: The dreaded mother visit isn't going to happen now (yay). She came over, but remained downstairs, and just had DH go down and get the stuff she brought over. So, no panic cleaning because of her. I can take my time today. Nice. One of my kitties has a limp this morning that he didn't have last night. He may have gotten into a rough-and-tumble with one of the other cats. Since there is no cut or swelling, I am holding off on the vet for 24 hrs to see if he gets better on his own. I am letting him rest, and for now, putting off doing noisy cleaning like vacuuming and paper shredding. Send him your hugs. Update: I don't know what happened, but my whole list fell by the wayside. I just couldn't get motivated. I think I am feeling paralyzed by stress. Good thing tomorrow is another day! Try, try, again! *sigh*

Great to see everyone here this morning! I slept late and have to rush now to get to work. YEAH for your nephew, Merrymaid! I bet you'll feel so much better once that is gone. Lots of early risers (talking 'bout you, Creativechaos) or late nighters(CrimsonCat, who's getting as nocternal as her namesake) here today. Good going on all your todos and tadas ... can't tell you the number of times I arrived at work without the security card/ID over the years, SBTM. Makes perfect sense to put it on the todo list. Carrie, responding to threads on other forums, so sorry you saw the coyote ... poor Molly. And check out Yahoo news for a story about how scientists found that red yeast worked well in lowering cholesteral. (sp?) You'll find a lot of support here for working on health issues. Mellow, WTG on getting promptly on top of those dishes! Rosebud, hope your afternoon is going well. TADAs: 1. Made bed and took meds 2. Made phone calls and arranged some things for Saturday 3. Finished book so I can return it to the library today. *bonus* am rerunning some dishes through the dishwasher as they did not get clean enough last time. TODOs: 1. Farmers market 2. Library --big, yucky deal. Got some disappointing correspondence about Important Paperwork and I need to go consult a reference book about what to do next. (For those of you in the USA, I highly recommend the Nolo Press, which specializes in explaining in simple and not-so-simple legal matters in language everyone can understand.) 3. Take dishes out of dishwasher and put away. Hope things are well for all of you! WestsideStory

TaDas 1. Calmed down , and gave the guy roommate the letter I wrote a week ago expressing my unhappiness with his bad habits. I stuck around while he read it (cuz roommie notes with no opportunity to rely suck and are rude), and let him know I was not ditching him as a friend etc. I'd sat on it for a week and had someone else proof it so I know it wasn't something I did in anger I will regret. (although today's frustration led me to not sit on it longer) 2. Put a big load of laundry in and have it going. 3. Dealt with 13 things in the bins and threw out 7 of them.
Other roommie's boyfriend came over so she quickly dashed out as I was getting up to go buy TP.
Still To do (some of this I can see is just going to keep carrying over till the end of the night..) 1. Unload and reload dishwasher 2. Handwash dishes 3. Exercise 4. Hang up what needs to hang dry and put things in the dryer when washer is done. 5. Put a 2nd load of laundry in.
