I'm trying to reframe my mind and instead of focusing on what is daunting about each room I'm focusing on what I like in each room.
I'd like it if you shared too.
Bathroom:
Makes a big difference fast. Take out the trash and laundry and then everything else is able to be scrubbed quickly and then it smells nice and fresh and sparkly. Toilets etc don't even bother me for the same reason.
Kitchen:
When it's clean it's a very friendly room. I am impressed at how fast the dirty dishes smell changes and things smell lemony fresh.

Kitchen and bathrooms: non-porous surfaces are easy to clean.

Cool idea: What I like in each room -- I hope I can think of something: Bathroom: There is not much clutter in there -- it is easy to clean the toilet sink and tub because we now keep only a few shampoo products etc. out the rest are neatly stored in the cabinet. Kitchen: I like that the microwave stand has stayed neat and it holds our 12" tv, microwave, and my two big crock pots plus the cat food container! This area has stayed neat for a very long time so it's easy to clean the microwave and around it. My Office: I like that I found space to leave out the shredder so thats helping me stay caught up with shredding papers and junk mail with sensitive info. Guest room/sewing room: I love that the bed is positioned for super easy bed making! Livingroom: It's great there is not much in there anymore -- the only hotzone left is the coffee table and it never takes more than 2 minutes to clear it off. Utility room: ...... well..... it's just nice I do have a washer and dryer but the room leaves a lot to be desired. There is plenty of space for me to move in there but that's about it. Our bedroom: I'm grateful DH has learned to use the waste basket in there.

I will have to agree , The bathroom is really easy to clean. I suggest starting in the bathroom if anyone is stuck on where to start first.

My favorite part of cleaning each room. Hmmm--being finished???!! Actually, I guess it is anything with quick results. Like others, swishing the toilet and wiping out the bathroom sink. Quick and easy. In the kitchen, it is dishes. Sounds crazy, but by rinsing and putting them in the dishwasher and washing larger items by hand, I get results fast. Same with laundry. I do a load every day and make sure it is put away. I remember "laundry day" when I was a kid and we'd have to lug like 10 baskets of clothes to the laundry mat. NOT FUN in the least. Large piles of laundry intimidate me. SO teases me and says if there are 2 socks in the hamper I will wash them. He's not far from the truth! BF

cleaning the mirrors in the bathroom--makes a big difference, never hard to do
bedroom--making the bed. Not exactly cleaning maybe? It takes less than a minute and it makes an enormous difference
dusting the dining room table--it is very shiny and glossy, it takes only a minute, and I can see it when I am standing at the kitchen sink, so I get a lot of eyeball time with it

One thing I take from Flylady is start with your kitchen sink. No dirty dishes sitting around. Let the clean spread from the sink out-take out the garbage, wipe off the crumbs, spray and santiize the counters, sweep the kitchen floor then Swiffer Wet Jet it. Takes me less than an hour. Next I go up to the bsthroom for a swish and swipe.
