It's about time. We moved into this apartment last October. We have had blinds all this time of course but I just now got around to putting up curtains. Better late than never perhaps.

Good for you!
I have been in my house for 15 years, and I STILL do not have curtains. I have a duvet cover on the front living room window. I DID at one point sew curtains for the kitchen, and a shower curtain for the bathroom.
Heck, at the rate I am going, I will have my mortgage paid off before I have proper window treatments!

I lived in my current rented house for 10 years, with an ugly yellow roller blind in the kitchen (my main room), one day I really 'noticed' it, and I then replaced it with a cream one - so much nicer! I had just become oblivious to the garishness of the yellow one.

Thanks guys . . . .I am so glad to hear I'm not the only procrastinator when it comes to curtains! Gosh they are expensive even though I got mine from my beloved Family Dollar Store. I know I have lived in places before where I just had a sheet tacked up over the window during the whole time I lived there- one place for 4 years. I think the new curtains may be helping my depression at least minimally.

Good for you for getting the curtains up!
we currently have no curtains. well in the bedrooms we do have them, but in the main living areas we don't have anything. I kind of like it that way, less stuff to worry about having to clean.

Congratulations on your new curtains , tinasabrina! I have put mine up a couple of weeks ago. My small living room has a huge sliding glass window that takes up one whole wall. We have a tall fence but I hated it at night, I could never relax having that feeling that someone could look through the fence and into the livingroom. It has been three and a half years without curtains! and for one year I have had them and not put them up. Yay! My nights of living in a fish bowl are over!
