I had that yucky problem of mold recently on dirty dishes. I only let a few dishes sit few a couple or a few days. I had forgotten how fast things can get moldy once the weather gets warm. I can't always be on top of the dishes or laundry. How can I prevent mold or worse?

We were just talking in another post that sometimes you have to just go with paper plates = like the heavy duty ones from Costco. I just cleaned moldy dishes this week too and right now paper is the way to go for me!

If you absolutely cannot wash dishes every day, then I'd at least rinse them & put them in a dishpan that has a good dollop of Clorox in the water.
I don't know about mold on clothing--I guess the answer is not to let wet/damp clothes sit around. Once they've been washed, they need to be dried PDQ. I wouldn't think mold would grow on dry clothing, clean or dirty.

paperplates are a godsend. I usually just put things in hit water with soap and always a drop of bleach.
