Today is March 25.....nine months to Christmas 2010. Also known as the feast of the Annunciation; Lady Day; one of the four Quarter Days in olden times. I hereby challenge us: to do something about any 2009 Christmas clutter hanging around. Gifts to return? Wrapping paper to toss? Cards to file? Decorations to put away? Find something UNDONE----and do it.... Spend 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 25 minutes. Do one thing: or many. We are having a cool grey day here with true winter-y weather forecast for the rest of the week. So..........please join me in counting.....backwards......to last Christmas [or further, if necessary ] xxoo

All right, you caught me...the Christmas tree is out of the living room...but it is not untrimmed. That will be a good place to start

I thought it was about 2010 as well. I think Christmas finished this morning with a replacement copy of a book which arrived in the post. The book had been given to me as a present and had fallen apart so now I have one new copy and one copy which is in pieces. It is not repairable and so it needs to go out but not quite yet.

i set my timer for 25 minutes:
which I spent + + +
in the 'Santa's Workshop' area of the craft room/library.
*I put away all kinds of wrapping paper *I tossed some boxes (recycling) *I FOUND GIFTS: wrapped but not delivered: which I will do, as I am seeing some of these people soon *I put everything away neatly in a spot under the stairs
I kept going, and tidied up a bit of the craft room.
thanks for letting me have this 'self-challenge' in an area which has been driving me crazy
less than 1 hour: to make myself feel much better........

Well, well, well.....looks like someone has been peeking in my living room window. Now I HAVE to take those Christmas stockings down that I forgot to put away when everything else got taken down. Thanks for the reminder!

What do you know? I just looked at a bag of Christmas stuff a couple of days ago and thought, I really should put this with the other Christmas stuff in the basement. Haven't done it yet, but here is a thread to remind me!

I got my christmas stuff put away last week. All the ornaments are back in storage. and the stockings are on the top closet shelf where they belong. Did I mention I waited to March to put things away?

I just joined last night and had to respond to this thread. YES, I have my living room Christmas decorations in a labeled box, still sitting on my living room floor. Why? Because the place in my spare room closet where it belongs is filled up with other junk that I got sick of looking at and moved to the closet. AARGH!
Oh well, at least it's in a labeled box. 10 years ago I would have thrown them loose into the closet and slammed the door shut really fast. Little steps, right?
