This morning I woke up extra early to work on a drawing that I was running late with. I slipped on some loose fitting trousers and went downstairs and began drawing. I felt a weird tickle on one of my legs, under the fabric of my pants, but I just thought it was my imagination.
Then a little while later, I felt it again, but in a different spot. I thought to myself "uh oh, I hope my dog doesn't have any fleas, guess I'd better give him his flea pill". Then a little while later it happened again, and it was too bothersome to ignore any longer.
It turned out that their was a large palmetto bug in my pants! YUCK! I hate bugs, they really give me the heebie jeebies. I hadn't seen a palmetto bug all year, and the first one I encounter is in my pants. Nice way to start off the morning...not! My skin still crawls when I think about it.
I am putting out some Combat roach traps tonight, I am not even going to wait until the weekend.

Your post reminds me of a funny story.
We had a few Palmetto bugs when we first moved into our house. I'd never seen them before in my life, and I thought that they were the world's biggest cockroaches!!! So, we set out the Combat roach traps, too.
One night, when I was out of town, my husband heard a noise in our bedroom. He got out of bed to investigate. He was highly amused to discover that a very determined Palmetto bug was doing its best to haul one of the Combat roach traps "home" with him!!!

Wow! I hope you can get rid of them a.s.a.p. They sound awful whatever they are. How big are they?

Wow! I hope you can get rid of them a.s.a.p. They sound awful whatever they are. How big are they? Typically they're about 3 inches long around here. I've had good luck with the combat traps in the past, I hope that they're just as effective this season!
