- I don't have a "pod", so I didn't think I could listen to podcasts. But I was able to listen to this podcast on my 11-year-old computer ... quite easily! The host of the radio show talked about a hoarding horror story she'd read about in a magazine. The host also asked questions about "the worst case you've seen", etc. Geralin and Dr. Steketee tried to deflect attention away from such sensationalism ... in order to discuss the human realities. They did not mention the differences between between hoarding/squalor/messiness/clutter/disorganization. However, it was clear that their main focus of the podcast was on actual hoarding.  They said that 3-6 months would be the minimum time to clean up .... in a very MILD case of hoarding. But most hoarders would need at least a YEAR or more.
