I'm always talking about my least favorite job to do in the house, but never my favorite.
My least favorite is putting laundry away. My favorite would have to be dishes.
You?

I like doing laundry. You just throw everyuthing in the machine an d it does all the work. I love to run my clothes washer and dishwasher at the same time, then I go do a third chore. I feel super-efficient. Multi-tasking!

Hey Misc, I actually like cleaning the bathroom because you can get right to the cleaning without a lot of clutter and it doesn't take forever.

I sorted most of a large basket filled with socks - boring job.
Not sure I have a favorite - but washes dishes is fast at least for me.

Gardening. Our climate is mild enough that I can garden year-around.
Cleaning the bathroom is pretty satisfying, too.

Hmmm...it's got to be shredding paperwork...for me it functions as a reward and rubbish disposal at the same time. I don't really have any other favourite household tasks...but I do love the feeling of purifying/purging, lightening the load/heaviness that accompanies putting out rubbish out of the house and to the kerb for the weekly pickup. And there's nothing like taking to overgrown trees and plants with loppers, secateurs and pruning saws for relieving stress YEEHAR!!! MS

Hi MiSC! Dishes? Aaaaaaargh noooooooo, that is my most hated job of all time! I have a pathological fear of dirty dishes and sinks I think ! I really don't have a favourite job because all housework is equally torturous for me but I suppose I don't mind doing the washing. I think I like the ritual of sorting clothes, putting them in the machine, powder, yummy smelling fabric softener, then hanging up the wet washing neatly (I am so weird about hanging everything out perfectly with no wrinkles and matching pegs!!). Once it is dry I can no longer cope with it - far too difficult to fold everything and put it away so it languishes on the line til I need to pull it off for the next load then it goes into a basket from which I dress myself then it usually ends up tipped out onto the floor when I need the basket. Then I don't know if it is clean or dirty so I wash it again. A perfectly vicious cycle ! Catbiscuit xx

My favourite job is probably doing the laundry....sometimes I am prone to let it pile up a bit, but since doing the essential 6 in one, I have been keeping on top of it!

I enjoy doing laundry so long as I'm caught up with it. To have mounds of laundry to do when I first started my clean out was way too overwhelming for me.
I also enjoy going grocery shopping but when I pull into the driveway to have to carry it all in then my resistance kicks in. Putting it all away is fine as I enjoy doing that especially now that all my cabinets and refrigerator are all clean and tidy.

My favourites are hand-washing dishes (not often), washing laundry, and recycling. I'd like vacuuming, too, if I could just find the floor...

I suppose mine would be laundry. When I was a kid we didn't have a washer and dryer, so every Saturday my poor mom would lug 10 loads of clothes and 3 kids to the laundromat. I am thankful that I have a washer and dryer and do a load at least every other day. Mounds of laundry scare me too, SNM! Same with dishes. I am soooo thankful to have a dishwasher. I just can't relax if laundry is in the basket and dishes are in the sink. Now, dust is an entirely different matter... !

Despite having to go to the laundromat, I actually do enjoy doing the laundry. Like SNM, when I started I had a MOUNTAIN of laundry--and I did not enjoy getting through that; now that it's just a few "normal" loads, I like getting it all clean. And (fortunately) part of the joy for me IS folding it all and putting it all away. I love being all done--the sight of the empty laundry basket makes me soooooo happy. How crazy is that?

Doing laundry is my favorite. I lived for 47 years without a washer/dryer in the home, having to lug everything down to a laundromat. So now that we have the luxury of a washer and dryer right in the home, I love doing laundry!
A load of laundry = wash, dry, fold and put away.

I kind of enjoy mopping the floor, too.
