And Holidays are sneaking up on us. When did they move so many of them to the end of the year?
Anyway, before it gets any crazier, and during some of it, i thought i would have some quotes about Gratitude, Thankfulness, and the general attitude of counting our Blessings.
"Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality." ~ Alfred Painter

One of my favorite poems by Gerard Manley Hopkins... I always think of it when I buy speckled eggs.
Pied Beauty
Glory be to God for dappled things — For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow; For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim; Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches' wings; Landscape plotted and pieced — fold, fallow, and plough; And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim.
All things counter, original, spare, strange; Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?) With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim; He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change: Praise Him.

Thank you, PaperMoon, that's a beautiful poem!
"When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas time. Why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs?" ~ G.K. Chesterton
