And of course, i've been waiting all month to post this:
"I cannot see, I cannot pee. I cannot chew, I cannot screw. Oh, my heavens, what can I do? My memory shrinks, my hearing stinks. No sense of smell, I look like h3!!. My mood is bad--can you all tell? My body's drooping, have trouble pooping. The golden years have come at last. The golden years can kiss my a$$!

The month of March has concluded. Not sure what the topic for April will be. In the meantime, here are some quotes I've found to be very helpful: "One Day at a Time -- I will make an extra effort to be patient and gentle with myself and others when I am feeling irritable and frustrated."
"Just because I am *in* pain doesn't mean I have to *be* a pain."
"No blame, no shame."
"One Day at a Time -- I will pace myself and trust my body to guide me. I will not push when my body tells me it's time to stop. I will do half of what I think I can accomplish."
"We can laugh and see the lighter side of situations."
"I will have faith that I can thrive through anything -- when I do it one moment at a time."
"Little by little, through our constant efforts, we discover a different kind of life."-- (These quotes are all from the literature of "Chronic Pain Anonymous", a 12-step fellowship for those who suffer from real chronic pain and chronic illness, yet want to be "emotionally sober" while they're enduring the real physical suffering.)
(Yet the quotes seem relevant to anyone and everyone! -- for example: the quote about being "in pain" could be used by people in good physical health but who have emotional pain.)
