The house is a mess. My body is hurting because I am so fat (for me). My children are running wild. Chooks are getting into the house through broken screen doors. I need to have the doors open to let the house air as it stinks. Our business is dying. I am shutting down emotionally. I am not coping. The bloke is coping worse. Our 3yo is regressing because of chaos. So half the smell is from her. I have put her back in pullups. cannot afford them but I cannot bear to wash nappies from her. She aplogises everytime she does it. The house stresses me when it is dirty but when it is clean I am just as lost. where am I? Who am I? I don't exist anymore, only as a lacky. There is no appreciation for anything I do. Just condemnation for what isn't done. If I had the money I would just walk.

bah--you sound like you're having the worst day ever. Do you have a friend or relative that could come over and give you a little break? I see that you joined this site a while ago but haven't posted much--it might help to post more often, if you have time--I know that in the end you have to actually do the work yourself to deal with everything--but it helps SO much to know that there are other people out there who understand and who are cheering you on. Come to Listzilla and tell us what you are accomplishing, even if it's only one thing! Hopefully we can share some motivation and energy with you. I have to ask you this--what are chooks?? Diane

Hi Bah!
I'm so sorry you are having such a crappy time. If you have time read as many posts as you can and come and join us in chat for some fun and motivating challenges. I was a bit lost and bewildered before I joined but just knowing that there are other people in here who are going through the same struggles is very inspiring and motivating. Welcome to our messy little family!

PS - Chooks is an Aussie word for chickens

Bah, want to tell you a mans story of being a bedwetter....I was until over 21yrs of age...my poor mother did sheets all the time in her laundry routines...I really felt so badly about it and it smelled up the upstairs of the joint but I could not stop and no idea what I could do to help situation...I was a chronic bedwetter....but that little girl will love you all the more if you do not make her feel less than what she already feels like and also if nobody else is ever allowed to know but insiders....that was key to me being the worlds biggest lyer....I lied from age of five because nobody could ever know I wet my bed nightly. thru high school was the worst....cause by then I had a habit of drinking beer and liquor and smoking pot which did nothing in helping me stop....I guess what I am saying is UNDERSTAND you can do nothing...GOD will do it for you....but having to do the laundry is a mother's chore at her age now....so I feel for you there.....hugs bigtimetroubles....nice to meet you....you never need be alone again with all of us rooting for you!!!

Our 3yo is regressing because of chaos. So half the smell is from her. I have put her back in pullups. cannot afford them but I cannot bear to wash nappies from her. She aplogises everytime she does it. My kids were both well over 4 before they were 100% out of diapers. That's not unusual at all. She'll get there. Just... Whenever she feels bad about it, hug her and tell her she'll get there. Just patience and encouragement.

I'm so sorry you are feeling so down in the dumps. (((Hugs)))
I believe a lot of us go through feelings like that some time or another.
Take one day at a time and do the best you can, and don't fret so much about what you haven't accomplished. Just continue on the next day. Baby steps.
I agree it's a good idea to ventilate the house. Do your windows open? Are there screens on them? I remember my grandmother used to sew holes closed when her screens would get a hole in them. She just used a needle and thread. Maybe you could do that to your screen doors to help keep the chickens out. It may not look pretty, but it's a quick fix and will get rid of at least one of your problems.
I will be thinking of you and I hope your stress levels quickly go down real soon.
Keep us posted.
