This challenge is inspired by Illuminata's challenges from the old board. Here's how this challenge works: I will give you a new word every day (the night before) for 30 days. Your challenge is to find something in or around your home that is related to that word, that needs to be picked up, organized, cleaned, thrown out, or otherwise desqualored.
Here are the rules: Anyone and everyone is welcome to join me. You are not required to complete every challenge to participate; feel free to pop in and out depending on your schedule. If you decide not to participate, you are welcome to join in the thread to cheer others on. Rules are made to be broken. Creative variations of the word of the day are encouraged! Don't forget to have fun!
Ready to get started?
Today's word is HOT because where I live, it is hotter than blazes right now.
Do you have a HOT thing that needs to be thrown away? Something HOT that is dirty and needs to be cleaned? Or is broken and needs to be fixed?
Big or small, anything that's HOT counts.
Good luck and don't forget to report back here when you're finished!

I put all my tea in one place, with nothing but the tea. Which can be made, hot. I still have too much of it, but, that's another goal. I wont say it's a pretty shelf in my room, but it is all contained.

While making a bag of clothes to donate, I tossed in a velour shirt that makes me uncomfortably hot! (Does that count?) 3g

I washed one of my oven trays, right after I used it! I also made a hot meal... didn't just grab any old thing. It's winter here, so hot is good.

Yesterday, I scrubbed down the space below two of the burners on my gas stove and gave the stovetop a wipedown, too. And come to think of it, I have a teakettle which needs to be donated...

Um, my whole house is a hot mess. I don't think that's what you were going for, though. Will report back later!

I washed up the big pan I used to oven cook pork chops. (Instead of putting it off, .)

This IS fun. I like word games.
I pledge to clean the oven (just the outside of it, lets keep things real) and maybe declutter the top of the microvave and clean the outside of it too. When I get home from work.

I'm going to clean the oven, and then clean the bathtub so I can take a nice HOT bubble bath before bed

Holy blazes, Batman! I have been putting off cleaning my grill all day! I know it needs to be done because I had a huge flare-up in the grill last night from fatty pork steaks.
I will go clean my gas grill, and report back!
Edited to add: I did it! I scrubbed it off with BarKeeper's Friend, a cleanser that really cuts rust and other nasties. It looks much better on the outside, and the inside is cleared of most of the grease and buildup. I fired it up to make sure the insides don't rust from all the water I used.
Thanks for the challenge, Glow. Everyone is doing so well on this! And does anyone else note that Illuminata and Glowworm both[glow=yellow,2,300]lit[/glow]the way for us? Thanks, sister!

I just tossed that stupid George Forman grill that i hate and is impossible to clean. Heck, I can't count how many times I lost the drip pan to that stupid thing.
It would sit on my counter dirty because i hated cleaning it so much. I thought about donating it to Goodwill but that would have meant cleaning it first. (wasn't gonna happen!)
From now on, i'll stick to my stovetop grill pan that can be easily washed in a sink of hot soapy water.
