- Hello everyone, Just wanted to point out our "introductions forum". takeonestepatatime.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=introSome newbies have said "hi my name is X, i have three children and a cat, and my house is a mess. Looking forward to meeting you all". But NOTE: Many newcomers have poured out their hearts and souls in their intro posts! They have ASKED FOR HELP!To our existing members:- I would suggest reading through some of the intro threads and replying to one or two of them.
- Perfectionism not needed.
- We don't all have to read every thread!
- We don't all have to reply to every thread!
- If each of us occasionally welcomes one or 2 members, that will be more than enough.
To our newcomers:- The former forums didn't have an "introductions forum", so many of our longtime people aren't used to the layout of this current board, and forget to check the intro forum.
- Posting an intro is optional. Some people just start posting on the main board or on ListZilla -- and that's fine.
- There is no "correct" way to make an intro post. Just say whatever you feel comfortable saying. It might be long or short. It might be intense or light. Whatever you want to say.
- If you've poured out your heart and soul on an intro-board thread, you might want to consider posting a short message on the main forum (the "general" board) saying: "hello I am new, and here is a link to my intro thread. can you please give me some advice on "x" aspect of my issues?"

Suggestion for the mods/admin... move the intro forum above the general forum. Then more people will see it at the top of their page and will be more likely to use it
