Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place.
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

welcome to Working in Threes, willete It is great to have you here any day, but especially today, since I was getting a bit lonely. I feel your pain on rebooting laundry--I have to watch that since things can mildew very quickly in South Central Texas. tada vacuumed--no time to mop because I started too late chopped ginger, scallions, cabbage and nuts, pressed tofu, ssalted cabbage wiped up kitchen and picked up mess I made todo fry tofu make vinaigrette cut up canteloupe

I took out to bags of trash which i'm not suspose to pick up. Worked on cleaning out my fridge. ( My house looks like one of those people on clean sweep or hoarders that people freak out over, or at least it did been working on it). I found so much new food I didnt know we had bought. I made a little box and put all my husbands lunch stuff in it. Sorry if this was TMI (too much Info).

Fellow Texan Coincidentally, just as I was reading your post about getting rid of soda cans, my DS came down the hallway with a huge armful of soda cans from his room. WTG on working for so hard and so long in the kitchen, that must have been hard. tada finished making dinner--DD came in from babysitting and helped for the last ten minutes wiped counters and table loaded and started dishwasher todo feed dogs walk 2 miles empty dishwasher

Hi to anyone still working tonight, I want to make an evening list for myself in this thread, I have about 2 hours before my last cat care visit of the night and I don't want to waste the time until then. Hello to mrsmess although you're probably over in the Thursday thread now, you overseas folks march to a different drummer! Hello Charis, I see you're eating tofu--are you vegetarian? And welcome to Willette--so glad to see you joining WITs today! Sounds like you had a fun day in the kitchen!! Believe me, there's no such thing as too much information--that's what these threads are for. Whatever it is you're dealing with, you can be sure that there are others here dealing with the same issues. Now that you've found the food you didn't know you had, you can have a creative week trying to come up with dishes to use it up. Every couple of weeks I do the same with my pantry and fridge. Here's what I hope to do tonight: Clean stuff out of shopping cartClean off couch Clean off computer desk Catch up on this week's receipts (for budgeting purposes)Straighten up spare room work table Clean off work room chair Move laundry to dryerHang laundry when out of dryerRemove miscellaneous clutter from dining roomPut food away when finished in slow cookerScoop litter pansRefill cat food containersWe'll see how much I get done. Have a good evening, anyone still reading! Diane
