Thank you for the cheers, LaughingLark. Good luck with folding laundry. I do mine right on top of the washing machine as I take them out of the dryer. That way I have to put them away before I can continue on with getting more laundry done. This process has been working well for me the last couple years ever since I got rid of all those laundry baskets & no longer have clean clothes all over that just needed to be folded & put away... Tadas: )picked up heartworm preventative from vet & got DD to give to puppy 2)moved load of laundry into dryer & hung the hang-dry things. 3)got chicken in oven Todos: 1)shower2shoes 2)fold/hang load of laundry 3)put that load away CD

Getting rid of some of my laundry baskets helped me too. I Freecycled 2 last week, now I just wash the laundry when the regular hamper gets full and don't let it go into the overflow baskets.
Ta das: - emptied dishwasher - cleaned up breakfast dishes - showered
To do: - switch over laundry - get kids dressed and ready to go - run errands

Good job on getting started with the laundry stuff, laughinglark. I don't much care for laundry either, and think I too need to toss a whole bunch of clothes, old towels, etc. It's just kind of hard to do. I get a case of the "what if I need this someday?" kind of thinking. Let's both try to get rid of some clothes clutter!! tadas (round one): *got up *stayed up *made coffee (round two) *fed cats *fed dad *brought in newspapers (round three) *got dressed *pulled in garbage and recycling bins *remembered to put toilet paper in the bathroom (woohoo!!) (round four) *picked up soda bottle and dishes in bedroom *crunched soda bottles and put them into recycling *threw some junk from car into garbage todos: *paperwork of all descriptions *laundry of all types *dishes So, hi ho, it's off to work I go!

(((CD))) I'm sorry you're having problems with your DD, too. I know things get so frustrating for you sometimes. Hang in there, dear sister! Hypatia, you're doing great! You went to Lowe's and Wal-Mart and still have the energy to do more stuff??!!! You go, girl! My TaDas: * Made lunch * Took meds * Ate lunch (quickly) * Finished working today's shift * Worked an extra shift this afternoon for a co-worker who couldn't make it. So glad to get the hours - woo hoo! And, they'll show up on next week's paycheck too - woo hoo hoo! (OK, I'm a dork. Heh.) * Put away stuff I'd left out from lunch, rinsed lunch dishes and put them in the dishwasher * Visited with my parents who dropped by real quick to say 'hello' * Fed & watered cats * Treated myself to some fresh strawberries & ice cream as a reward for all my hard work I haven't done any real cleaning or de-squaloring today, but that can wait for the time being. When I have the opportunity to work, I *must* take advantage of it! And I did, so yay me!

cando, I am babysitting my sister's daughters tonight, along with my 3 kids, and I almost wish I could go back home and clean my house. I hope things between you and your dd get better by tomorrow. Today, I buckled down and actually started to get myself out of this mess again. I have a new resolve though, to not let this happen in the future. To not slip as terribly as I have this time around. For the past week or so, our yard has stayed picked up with a bit of diligence and hard work on the part of everyone. Getting the kids involved has been a major help. * Picked up bathroom floor (MAJOR - 2 bags garbage, 1 bag clothes, 1/2 bag toys) TA DA! * Mopped TA DA! * Put drano in sink, The Works in toilet (and left for the night) TA DA!

Hi all, I made it, late as always.
I haven't had a chance to read up on everything that everyone's been doing. I had to go out of town for work earlier this week; now I'm behind on all of my chores, the house is a disaster and I desperately need to jump in and get some stuff done!
TaDa: 1. Bought weed-and-feed and spread it on the lawn before the rain came 2. Pulled grass and weeds away from tree in front yard 3. Planted a small container herb garden for my back porch
1. Washed massive pile of dirty dishes, pots, and pans 2. Put away pile of clean clothes 3. Sorted dirty laundry and started one load
ToDo: 1. Dry and put away pile of dishes, pots, and pans 2. Start another load of laundry 3. Fold and put away one load of laundry

...I had to go out of town for work earlier this week; now I'm behind on all of my chores, the house is a disaster and I desperately need to jump in and get some stuff done! Hey Glowworm! I always say 'better late than never!' Besides, we've got people from all over the world on here working 'round the clock so even if it's 'late' where you're at, it's actually early on the other side of the world! And great going on all that yard work and that *massive* pile of dirty dishes, pots, and pans! That's no small feat after having been out of town on business this week! WTG! TaDas: * Dumped cat box * Disinfected cat box * Put fresh litter in cat box * Ate dinner with parents - they came back and brought take-out for all of us! It was very nice. * Rinsed dinner dishes & loaded in dishwasher * Brushed my teeth

Hi Rose of Texas!
Good job taking care of the cat litter. Definitely not my favorite thing to do.
TaDa: 1. Dishes, pots, and pans are dried and put away, but not before the perfectionist in me noticed that the pots were grungy looking and needed to be polished with stainless steel cleaner and then rewashed 2. Washed down the countertops and cleaned the sink in the kitchen 3. Load #3 is in the washer, load #2 is in the dryer, and load #1 is washed, dried, and ... uh ... in a pile on the dining room table which brings me to my "to do" list.
ToDo: 1. Fold and put away laundry load #1 2. Fold and put away laundry load #2 3. Dry, fold, and put away laundry load #3
As you can see, my being out of town this week threw a monkey wrench in my "one load a day keeps Mt. Washmore away" philosophy on doing laundry.

Hi everyone! I'm getting back in here to update before I go to bed. It's a great idea to get rid of all the laundry baskets. I have those collapsible hamper thingies that the wires are starting to poke out of the sides of anyhow. They should go! I have at least eight of the things, and sometimes have them all full of stuff to fold. After some thought, I realized that my Born Organized MIL does not have a laundry basket anywhere in her house, and she folds the clothes as she pulls them out of the dryer. Sooo much simpler than the way I do it. Or don't do it... My TA DA's diverged from my to do list a bit, but here goes: 1) Folded laundry for a while. I think I have three collapsible hampers and a basket of "mystery socks" left to go. 2) Found a quilt that my mom made for my oldest boy in the clean laundry that I've been meaning to mend and take back up to his room. Spent an hour fixing the tears by hand. The quilt is really threadbare, but he loves it. We discussed me making a new one for him. But for the moment, his old favorite is back. 3) Noticed an Easter basket on the kitchen table. It's been there since Easter Sunday, but caught my clutter-removing eye today. There is no candy left in it, just empty plastic eggs. It is now on top of the kitchen trash can, waiting to go out in the morning. hehe! Good night.
