- Many have recently asked this why the word L.A.Z.Y. appears to be censored to *** At the prior board ... and now here ... we don't call ourselves L.A.Z.Y. because we don't disrespect ourselves in that way. Plenty of people have given us that label, but how does it help us clean? You can use the word, if you really need to, by saying l.a.z.y. or layzee or L@zy or other creative spellings .... but that takes some effort. I believe it was said on the old board that if you have to go to that effort to type it, you end up thinking for a minute ... as to whether you really want to label yourself (or anyone else) with that adjective. It gives you a minute to say hmmmmmmm. More reflection as to causes of squalor may be found in the following links: Some of those factors are listed here: www.squalorsurvivors.com/squalor/causes.shtmland also there's this: www.squalorsurvivors.com/overcoming/yourself/index.shtml(see all the subcategories highlighted in white in left column). Self-worth Depression Perfectionism Demand-resistance Guilt Worry Indecision Goals Self-care
By the way .... this "censoring" of the word "lay-zy" has been part of some funny conversations in the forums when discussing clearing the piles off the La-Z-Boy Chair ! -- as depending on how people spell it, the chair becomes censored into *** (for those who were wondering, "La-Z-Boy" is the trademark of a type of reclining armchair en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recliner ) -
