I have posted a few times and then corrected my spelling errors with ieSpell. There have been a few times that I used it to correct my spelling, but what came up in the post was waydifferentt than what I had selected. I will test this here. I misspelled different above, and selected the correct spelling, and that is what it gave me. It looks as if when it enters the corrected word, it somehow messes it up, running it into the previous word and adding extra letters at the end of the word. I had used ieSpell a few times with the previous version of pro-boards without problems. I'll try it in visual and see what happens.

If you continue to have problems with it, Ally, can you fill out a Bug Report for me to submit to ProBoards Support? Since it worked with ProBoards v4.5 and not the current version they will may decide it is a v5 bug and work on it, rather than direct us to ieSpell.

Now I will try in Visual. I will misspell a word and check it with ieSpell.
It seems to work correctly in Visual, so I will have to switch to Visual before I use ieSpell.
One last time. I will spell differently wrong in a sentence and see what happens.
Okay, that settles that.

Interesting. Still sounds like a bug, though.

What browser are you using, Ally?
I found that iSpell worked very well for me in IE8 with our previous ProBoards v4.5.
BUT, I have found that IE8 doesn't interface well with ProBoards v5. I experienced placement issues in v5 while in IE8, so am using a different browser for now.
Chrome & FireFox both have built-in spell checkers, but you have to enable them for them to work. I am using both of them currently, but I really like IE8 for other things, so it's a toss-up which browser I am going to be using at any moment.
ETA: Wow, did it take me that long to compose that post? Long enough for 3 posts above mine once I posted? You guys are quick!

Celeste, I started a bug report, but was having trouble duplicating the error in that post. So I wanted to test it a little more to see if I could figure out anything. I did notice that ieSpell, highlights the word in the text that is it correcting, and the highlighting sometimes captures part of the word before the word in question. I think that is where the problem lies.
