Interesting. "Move" moves marginally faster. I noticed that they seem to be simultaneous in my view, but after several minutes, Move begins to edge ahead in the race and over time, it gains more ahead. O wonder if it's because the word "move" is shorter?

O wonder if it's because the word "move" is shorter? Good question! There's our next experiment. Top line is the move command and bottom line is the marquee command.

Looks like your hypothesis is correct, Lion. When they are the same length, the lines stay together.
PS I need to find a hobby. Watching the speed text race across the screen is kind of sad!

Yes, I noticed that when I was putting together that little tutorial, that a shorter phrase moved faster.
