There will be a follow-up show on Dr. Phil on Friday. This relates to the show about the woman who had something like seven refrigerators of hoarded food, etc.

I'm just bumping this up to remind those of you who might like to see this show today.

Thanks...watching it now.
I could have lived without seeing the crawly maggots with my bug phobia, but it is truly fascinating. I give her a LOT of credit for her bravery.

I did not see this but I viewed the slide show on the drphil.com site. I do like the fact they acknowledged that this is much more complicated than just someone not cleaning house. She has some progress and support now. I am actually surprised she was able to let the Got-Junk people come into her home, but good for her! Joy in Virginia

I did not watch the follow-up. I thought the original show was not handled well, as I usually find with ANY show "Dr." Phil does. He is very judgemental and doesn't deal with the issues with kindness, so I don't find him helpful to watch.
I am glad the lady is doing better though. That's what matters anyway.

I did watch part of it and suffered thru Dr. Phil and his constant chatter...he is not on my list of favorite people either. I decided to look online for some REAL PEOPLE to work with. I did belong to the old Squaler Survivors a few years ago. Dr. Phil and Robin wouldn't know a Dust Bunny if it jumped in thier lap. Maybe his first wife would...but he never talks about her.

I couldn't see any of the videos. It looks as if the site is so Microsoft oriented, it won't run properly on firefox.

Hi '60iott, The vids played fine for me on firefox, but you're not missing much.
This is a sad and troubled family. I don't think "squalor" is anywhere near their biggest issue :-(
And it was just bizarre to me that the woman was given a "spa day" as a "prize"--it reminded me (in a bad way) of the old "Queen for a Day" show when they gave every poor soul a new fridge and a bouquet of roses and sent her on her way.

I went to the Dr. Phil message board to read the comments that came in following that show. Trust me--people REALLY weren't happy about Dr. Phil's decision to give her a "spa day" reward! A lot of people were concerned about what they perceived to be child abuse in this particular situation.
