From Firefox 23 (but it's been like this since firefox 19 or whatever the version of firefox was back in March when we converted to proboards v.5 ---------------------

Peeking at it from i.e.8, i see the "welcome" image and its URL is ============================ {edit later, wow, it won't even let me insert that URL ... the URL is empty in firefox and converts to image in chrome, opera, and i.e.8}
Edit again this time with URL tags around the URL of the image: gi252.photobucket.com/groups/hh28/1IO3E0AI9A/welcome.gif
=========================== Now i'll try, from firefox, to insert that URL of the "welcome" image via the image on the toolbar: the code should be [img src="http://gs252.photobucket.com/groups/hh28/1IO3E0AI9A/welcome.gif"] I'll try to do that between the sets of dotted lines below: ------ -----

Nope. Doesn't work -- at all in firefox. Odd.
I think I made these tests a few months ago, and had the same result. (but I was too tired to report it then).
Doesn't matter what version of firefox. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. No welcome sign visible.
I know I've tried from both BBCode and Preview modes. Firefox is apparently "unwelcoming".

Peeking from I.E.8 - i can see it fine.
Update, peeking from Opera. I can see it fine.
Peeking from Chrome, I can see it fine.

Okay that's weird.
Look, it does some weird thing in the prefix of the photobucket URL
gs252 vs. gi252

Okay I don't think this is related to SOS's proboards conversion to v.5 on March 11, 2013.
I think this is due the the photobucket version "upgrade" that happened shortly before that. I've noticed photobucket glitches in firefox ever since photobucket upgraded.
And I think it has to do with the photobucket URL prefixes changing automatically from "i" to "s" ... (or is it from "s" to "i"?) ... or something. It happens automatically in firefox, and then images display wrong.
Maybe it has nothing to do with the "welcome" image issue. Or maybe both things are happening at once?

It happens automatically in firefox, and then images display wrong. What I'm referring to, is that sometimes people post their personal photos and if it's from firefox, sometimes the whole album background displays, instead of just the specific URL of the image you chose. Which is freaky because then there are arrows shown that you can click on, to see other images in the album. And that's NOT what we intended! I've had this happen, and I've seen it happen to others. I think photobucket's upgrade does weird things in firefox. I sometimes have to log into SOS from i.e. or chrome or opera, and then log into my photobucket account from there, and then post my image into my forum post. Then i can go back to firefox for the rest of my forum experience. I think it's the combo of "new photobucket" with "firefox" and then trying to display image onto either v.4 or v.5 of proboards.

Sorry don't have time to explain it further or to post more examples of individual photos from my own personal photobucket. That will have to wait for another day.

In addition to "welcome", the other smileys that haven't been working in firefox (for months!) are ...
::grr:: ::feelbettersoon:: ::hound:: ::cat:: (hopefully putting that in code will make it clear?)

Since that old Photoshop account also stored our theme images, I'm glad we can now store theme images on ProBoards. Fortunately for me, ProBoards imported most of the theme images for me, automatically. The idea of shifting all the images for every single theme to a new Photobucket account makes me cringe!

Yes, glad themes can remain on Proboards, and aren't subject to further whims of Photobucket. Question: Will a copy of the original smiley images remain in the original Photobucket account? (asking because older posts show images in the older photobucket account). Actually, what I'm asking is, will older posts will still show some smileys?Or is this one of those "gotta do it imperfectly" situations?

Will a copy of the original smiley images remain in the original Photobucket account? (asking because older posts show images in the older photobucket account). Actually, what I'm asking is, will older posts will still show some smileys?Or is this one of those "gotta do it imperfectly" situations? You will see smilies in old posts. If the BBCode lists the emoticon's URL, then it will show that URL as long as the link still works. We aren't deleting the old Photobucket account. A problem arises when there are keyboard shortcuts, like : ) makes . Some of those shortcuts have changed. I did the best I could to standardize them to the old keyboard shortcuts, but there are some differences. It doesn't help that our v4.5 shortcuts didn't fit the standard in the first place. In those situations, we "gotta do it imperfectly". If they are your posts, you could go in and edit the posts, but personally I think this is a bit too perfectionistic. Our time is better spent focusing on the present.
