As the campaign season reaches a fever pitch, I am receiving and checking out more video bits- which means spending more time not cleaning.
Today, I have about a dozen that I haven't seen. So I put on the first one, turned the volume up and started picking things up. It's talking heads, so it doesn't really matter if you see it, hearing it is the important thing.
My first video clip was 10 minutes long- I got a ton of stuff done! I was so happy that I came back and put on another one- this one was three minutes (I checked), so I felt like I had to hurry to get things done.
If it works, use it.

Now if only I could come up with a way to read and clean, too...

You're obviously a woman after my own heart, and I have two words for you: audio books!
I listen to audio books while I'm cleaning or ironing or whatever (well, it doesn't work so well if you're vacuuming). This summer, when I painted the entry way, hallway, dining room, etc. I listened to the last two Harry Potter books. I don't try to listen to "serious literature" while I'm doing other stuff, though Dickens is good 'cause the books are long :-)

I listen to podcasts while I clean. I'm a big Dave Ramsey fan and can get a lot done (if the kids let me) during a podcast!

Well, I do feel like I need to go and take a shower after watching some of the political ads. I'll just make sure to scrub the tub a bit while I'm in there.  |

My cable is off right now, as I was unable to pay as much as they wanted,  so all I see is political stuff on line. There are more e-mails filled with lies and inuendo to fill a 10 gallon wastebasket a day! (If I printed them.) That is enough to get me really angry, and I clean more when I'm angry,  . I just need the time and energy to do it. 3g |
