My boyfriend noticed me getting depressed over the last few days and he wouldn't let me be alone. Unfortunately, I'm such a control freak that I can't get any work done if someone else is around. I will either get mad at him for not helping or get mad at him for doing it wrong if he tries to help. So my solution has been to not attempt housework when he's home. Now the Negative Nelly in my head keeps pointing out how little I accomplished in my week off. To counteract that, I've come here to make a list of what I did do.
The biggie, and probably most important, is that I cleared a big enough area to turn on the space heater without burning the house down.
I cleaned the empty rat cage and moved the girls into it. Their regular cage is still on my to do list, but given the size of my cages, just getting one clean was a huge job.
I got the revolving load of laundry out of the dryer and have now started two more loads. I wear a uniform to work and my boyfriend is out of work right now, so I've been able to get away with just washing the same two or three outfits and four towels over and over without ever putting anything away. I'm finally going to have variety in my wardrobe again.
I found a pair of shoes that I had written off as gone forever last summer.
I found enough Pepsi points to download 4 or 5 new songs.
I removed all of the trash from on and around the TV cart.
I can see the floor between the bed and TV.
So maybe I didn't get a whole room done, but I got a pretty good start. Tomorrow, I'm going under the bed. Wish me luck!

Any start is a big deal, it's so easy to reamin frozen in apathy. And I know your bf was in the way, but what a nice guy to notice when you are down. Laundry, heat, clean cages, tidying the tv cart - I'd say that was quite a big step actually.
Good luck under the bed!
