As I got nothing accomplished. Hubby is hunting. Oldest was gone. Just me and my little one. We played all evening Friday night. It was fun, just the 2 of us. Saturday was his Fall Carnival at the school. Oldest surprised us by coming home early. We had a ball. But I started to feel icky at the carnival. Thought it was from the junk I had eaten. Cooked dinner for my parents. Mom is home recovering from her fall and my siblings had been feeding them TV dinners! Anyway by the time we got home I was sure I was going to hurl. I stayed in bed all day Sunday! All I accomplished was maintenance on the kitchen. Dishes and counters. I had wanted to work on one area of hubby's hoarding. I had wanted to get sooo much done before he got home. I am sure it was a little of the stress buildup from the previous 2 days. Now I am busy at work, plus I have to deal with the letters and going the county building to do the affidavit! ARGHH. Never ending. Thanks for the vent. This weekend will be better!

Disapointing when getting sick messes up plans but there is nothing you can do about it. Well done on looking after your mother and the maintainence

You had fun with your kids, and maintained some stuff & helped your mother despite feeling ill? Sorry to disagree , but I think you did fine. You expected more from yourself, but you did fine. (And with a little luck, next weekend you may get to do more of what you plan.)

So I have had some time to think. As I was reading the posts from the past few days I realized something. If one of you had been ill and were lamenting like I did I would tell you to relax and don't beat yourself up anymore. Let it go. Start fresh. So why can't I do that for myself? Why can't I be my OWN friend? Well I decided to do just that. I am not gonna beat myself up for being sick. I got a lot done for my parents. I fixed dinner. Cleaned her kitchen. Cleaned out some stuff from her fridge. Packaged up the leftovers so they could reheat them for the next night. I also got them dessert and some basics: bread, milk, eggs, etc. So no more I am a horrible person!
