One of the developers at my company forwarded the rest of us this link to an article that lists the web sites currently affected by the Heartbleed Security Bug. The security of several popular social network sites (Facebook, PInterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.) as well as other companies (Google, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) has been compromised by this bug. If you have an account with any of the affected web sites, it is suggested that you change your account passwords, just to be safe.
The list of affected web sites in the article will be updated as the information is made available.
Here's the link to the article: mashable.com/2014/04/09/heartbleed-bug-websites-affected/
Edited to add: The video at the bottom of the article explains the Heartbleed Security bug.

One of my students mentioned this to me in class on Friday, I wanted to check it out but forgot thanks for the reminder.

I've already checked and ProBoards forums are patched.

Now that it's patched does that mean we should be changing our passwords?

Go ahead, Diane. ProBoards said the exposure risk was very minimal, but it is always a good idea to change passwords from time-to-time.

Well, I HATE changing my passwords, so I only do it if I feel there's a compelling reason. I think I'll leave it alone.
