Is it possible to get some of the Smilies from Squalor Survivors added to the ones here? I especially liked the Hug, but there were other great ones, SS Is Proud, and the hanging up laundry. I've seen a cheerleader somewhere also, maybe SS.
Is this possible?

Missy said she's limited to 16 and she's already hit that number. If you want, you can use my smiley archive. I nabbed them off SS, etc. You'll also see a number of older, discarded smilies. On DotNetPark, Pigpen used MSN smilies plus a bunch of others including your favorite. ![]() There are minimal instructions on my site for using them, so ask if you have questions. About the only one I've had a problem placing here has been the peacock, but it is a LOT larger than everything else! |

Celeste, Thank you so much. I wasn't able to do it. I'm on a Macintosh (with Firefox). I right clicked and did Copy Image Location and got this: Any ideas? |

We can change the current ones,   etc, to a different one. with the skins, it takes a little more time, cuz you have to change it on each skin. |

I right clicked and did Copy Image Location and got this: Any ideas? That's exactly what you want! Now that you have the URL where you write your messages, highlight it and click the little picture icon in the "Add tags" section (it is next to the email icon and below the text formatting). That will stick [ img ] and [ /imgl ] (minus the spaces) before and after the link. The smiley should show up when you preview your message. Type (or copy-and-paste) the code in the box below: [img]http://celestial_realm.tripod.com//S/OSS/tada.gif[/img]Viola! It will insert the image rather than the URL link. ![]() Try it! |

![]() Yay! So it's the fourth icon from the left in the second row of "Add Tags". I also found out that you can't add an extra space or it won't work. So now we know how to do it. I don't like the lips sealed smiley so I'll vote to take that one off and replace it with the hug smiley. |

If you are using the default skin and post a message, you will discover we now have  and  in the line-up. A quick check showed those two were very popular at SS, along with the hug. Now we can greet, commiserate and celebrate together again. |

In the SS forum, I posted a thread in ListZilla this past weekend called, "don't mind me - I'm just testing smileys." I have a list of all the smilies used in the forum. I don't know if this works for MAC users, but for Windows users, you can do the following: 1) You can "right-click" on the picture of the smiley, and select " Save Picture As." This will open up a window where you can browse to a location on your PC where you want to save the smiley (*.gif) file. 2) Then you can go to PhotoBucket.com and upload the smiley image from your PC (it's free). PhotoBucket will display the source code for the smiley. a) For the Stepping out of Squalor forum, click on the IMG CODE text for the smiley. It'll be copied to your "virtual" clipboard. Paste this text into a text file program, such as Notepad. You can use that code repeatedly for the smiley when you post in the Stepping Out of Squalor forum. b) For the Toss Sibs (LiveJournal) forum, click on the HTML CODE text for the smiley. Again, it'll be copied to your "virtual" clipboard. Paste this text into your text file also. It seems a bit laborious, but this is a workaround to getting any smiley you want if it's not on a forum toolbar. You can search the Internet for your favorite smileys of all time and add them to your collection via the PhotoBucket method. I've got a very large text file now of all the smiley code. I can create groups of smileys by pasting strings of the image code, one after another, separating them by one or two spaces.
