It is interesting how the 'keep' pile can turn into discard or donate items when like is put with like so we can see exactly what we have and how many. Going round again and again, making passes through the items and selecting the least attractive for donating worked very well for me. I had three separate stashes of small candles, and when they were merged I found I had a huge stockpile so I decided to donate the cheap ones that do not burn for very long.
I am now looking again at all my survivors, things I had decided to definitely keep. I have adjusted to having a lot more space around me, and can see the advantages of minimalist living.

Had another friend take me out for last week's Birthday & we had lunch & shopping. When she dropped me off at home, I filled huge trash bag with ripped out vines & the rest of my Hydrangea bush, all of which I snipped & pulled out right then. Perspiration was swimming all over me !

Progress is slow here -- End of the school year, busy fighting fires. I did pull files from 16g jumpdrive to imac so I could start moving files from macbook to iMac. Created a folder on TB harddrive and dumped all files on the TB hard drive in to folder so I could start adding what is organized. I will organize the 196Gs of "stuff" on the TB hard drive over the summer. My goal will be to have everything I added to the TB hard drive organized in folders.

When we got home last night, I cleaned out the car. Two Drink Cups! Were thrown out... Otherwise it was clean! Happy dance! I got two email accounts up to date by deleting over 100 emails, and hit unsubscribe to some newsletters that no longer interest me much. Rob, I an waiting for the film at eleven!

Film? I was going to go to see a film today, but because I have done two bad things I would not let myself go.
I must get through a list of special, one-off actions before I earn the right to see it. The film is "The Wind Rises", Hayao Miyazaki's final masterpiece.
I let my fridge-freezer ice up so I can't get the drawers open, and I had to throw most of a bag of carrots away because they went soft: I should have cooked and frozen them. I never ever get behind with rubbish and recycling, but I still overlook a few other tasks.
