Wow lucie, you must have had a bad infection! I'm glad you got your shopping done. I'm leaving soon for my mid-day paid work but I did manage to do a little (gasp!) cleaning this morning. I swept several problem areas--around my desk, cat food areas, cat litter areas, the bathroom. I washed the floor around the main cat food area, and washed the plastic mat that I put the plates on. I'm now soaking the broom in a bleach solution, since I use it to sweep up wet cat food bits every day--I'm sure it's an odor source. Earlier this morning I washed off the kitchen windowsill that I use for kitchen water bottles. I have one more half day off today, then I'll get busier with pet care for the Thanksgiving holiday. So when I get home this afternoon I'll have to be productive. Have a great day, all! Diane

Sorry you're still sick, lucie. At least you got some shopping done. I've been warding off a cold (or whatever, achy with a sore throat) since last Wed. and I'm violently fighting it - right now, sitting down with a can of hot chili - with about a cup of pickled sliced hot banana peppers added to it! Take that, cold - you like it? C'mon, I bought 8 cans of chili and the commercial sized jar of peppers - you're doomed! Bwaahaaha! Hollyhock, I did make that birdbath. I made a really nice one a few years ago, and for some reason wanted a bigger one. DUH! I *didn't* want it to weigh so much...it's heavy! They're very easy to make, and beautiful - and the birds (and others) love them. I just vacuumed behind my fridge, and cleaned off the top. Wow, 6 years of dust, animal hair, and mouse poop can really add up! How disgusting. ETA: tomorrow I'll bring instant coffee, for those who enjoy it. I'll just ask for tea with the bag out, ha. Taster's Choice? Just name the brand - you guys deserve it!

hollyhock, my doctor is actually great, she did a test on the spot, it is just a common cold that is not leaving me fast enough. I thought I would feel well by now. But I was feeling tired for some weeks, so what can I expect. She told me what to get from a pharmacy to speed it up. I do not want to go to work too early and still feel tired all the time. Oh, well, I did wish recently I had more time to read. You should be really carefull what you wish for. BTW, I bought a pack of chocolate chips and hazelnut cookies and ate them all. They were great with my coffee.

Looking forward to jumping in when I get home tonight.
Got up super early today. Usually on a weekday I am up at 530. Well I have started waking up at 530 on the weekends and today I woke up at 5am. So I watched the news snuggled up with the dog. Then I dragged my butt out of bed at 530 for the shower and get dressed and make coffee and head to the bus routine.
Tonight I have to finish work in the hallway. Sweep and organize outside DD room. Then the pile at the top of the stairs. I also need to get clothes laid out for hte rest of hte week. I am afraid I will oversleep one of these mornings and I need to be able to dash in a flash.
As I have been working in my room - I have been coming across tons of pantyhose. No idea why. So I gathered them all up and I washed them in batches. I soaked a few pair at a time in a plastic basin with some woolite then hung them up to dry. Little by little I have washed most of them. I have one load left. I have the clean ones all in one spot. As I wear them - if I get a run - I toss them when I get home. If they survive the day - they get put in the basin for the weekend wash.
There is a load in the dryer I need to deal with. Hopefully I can run a load thru the washer tonight.

I hope you get better soon lucie. Those cookies sound yummy. cyn - a huge on cleaning behind and on top of your fridge. Hi ohblondie. Good going on the waking early, and the pantyhose washing. I hope you have a great day at work. I've basically finished in the kitchen for now. Bookcase is back in place, and the box of recipe books are on it. Accordion file of loose recipes are currently in the spare room, as well as 2 other unrelated books. Desk is in place, phone plugged in, and bulletin board leaning on top of it. (If I find my push pins I can hang my work schedule.) Vacuumed the remainder of the kitchen floor. I heated my lunch - soup - and hand washed the floor as it was cooling to where I like it. Wow - this is not a huge kitchen - but I cannot believe the filth that came up from that floor. I had to change the dishpan of water half way through (I thought the super cleaned this before I moved in ( )) So 2 filthy basins of water on a smallish kitchen floor. But at least that is up now, and from now on it will only be MY dirt. (And using Mr Clean, it smells clean!) Having lunch now - but I don't like it. (It's that gift minestrone soup I got last week when I moved) - tastes like tomato juice with a bunch of veggies and pasta added - no flavor at all except strong tomato. I guess I should go out for a few groceries - since I have nothing to eat, not even bread. Or meat. My ds had emailed me early this AM that he might come by around 4:30 and bring me another router he had. I haven't really had the same problem since he was here Fri., so I don't know if he still plans to come or not. But I will need to be back - because he seems to never reply until he is at my door! So I guess I should quit stalling here and just go get some groceries. I really want to get this DR looked after today too. But I guess it will have to wait until I get back. So on agenda now Write grocery list Change clothes Go out for groceries Put them away

Back with groceries. I think I had more than usual because I moved with almost nothing. Slowly building up my staples - but 3 trips up from the car. I still need to put them all away. No word from ds if he is dropping by or not - that would be in about 40 minutes and my place is such a wreck - despite working on it, only 1 room looks good - at least it did before I brought groceries in. But at least I can have decent meals now.
So to do: Put groceries away Dump floor-washing water - yes its still sitting here Dump lunch I didn't eat. Tidy whatever I can - but that isn't much because it all belongs to bigger projects I want to do later (things with no homes yet) Put away clean dishes

Congrats on finishing the kitchen, hollyhock! Everyone is working hard! I got the garbage out and "tossed" the junk mail (into recycling box).

I'll have a coffee with you, jendela It's just past 5pm here, but I'm leaving for zumba at 6 and I'd like a little jolt after the day I've had. Everyone's been working so hard - I had to follow along too. It was a relatively gorgeous day outside today (raining and 12C, ha) so I spent the afternoon working on my yard. Yay: for the first time in a few years, my hose is coiled up properly for the winter. All old flower pots are either put away or in the recycling. All the garden ornaments are put away, including my 2 cement rhubarb-leaf birdbaths. Phew, a workout there! Have a great day/night everyone! I'll be back later, with a glass of red wine! Anyone else like to join me?

I did vacuum earlier and dishes are soaking, so I'll want to wash them before hitting the hays. Didn't get everything done that I had hoped to today, but at least I did do something.
I'll be back tomorrow!
