sidestep, thanks! For some unknown reason, all I get when I click on the gear wheel, is "Bookmark". Sorry to be slow in answering your kind help. I tried yesterday, and the post wouldn't go through.

Emma, there should be a drop down arrow right next to the gear. The arrow is what you actually click on, & you should see Delete Post as one of those selections offered. Note: This is only available in a post you have already created. Apparently the Delete Post option only works if you have a Completed Post. In other words, you must have the Reply screen already closed. Good Luck, I hope that helps!

sidestep, you are amazing! Thank you so very much! I really appreciate your help. Yes, the drop down arrow only worked on the completed post. :) Any chance you could help me with disabling the animations on the "smilies"?

Emma, did you try this again? takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/post/519030/threadIf that still doesn't work, perhaps leaving a new note in the tech section will help. Are you on a Mac? If that doesn't work, how about trying the suggested steps above while in a different browser, like Firefox. (I'm not a techie & that's just a wild guess to try!) Good Luck!

sidestep, thanks very much for your post. I do use a Mac, an old one. I have tried resetting the Profile Setting Choices several times, to no avail. I like using Safari, and have only ever had trouble trying to use Firefox. I just stay away from threads where I know there are lots of animations, and if I happen on any posts with animations, I get away as quickly as I can. Thanks so much for your help. :)
