Hi. Last week I went to log into chat and got a message that my java was out of date. There was no option but to upgrade, though, no Remind Me Later, and of course I'm on a Mac which always makes things a bit trickier. The website no longer has links to older versions which is how I solved this problem last time. Anyway, just reporting in. I hope things are going well with the java-less chat project. I volunteer to be the test rat.

Hmm, Celeste, it appears that there has been a recent tweak in Chat back to a rudimentary style. It appears that /nick can not be used atm, & the only status updates available are Online & Away, no fancy emoticons or colored fonts, & it eagerly disconnects you for 'inactivity'. Is this in preparation for the changeover to non-Java Chat, or is it 'kettle-time' again? |
