A little late in starting this thread... so it goes.
I tend to be all or nothing in most things I do. Declutter - I'm all in. Gardening - I'm all in. Cooking - I'm all in. Till something else catches my fancy, then I'm all in for that. But over the years, that hasn't worked well. I do not have a good sense of balance. I'm hoping to retrain myself. I especially do not want to fall into the 'backslide' hole.
So what I'm going to try in weekly threads such as this is to try to find some balance between the things in life I find 'fun', and to alot some time each day to continue to declutter and maintain, in spite of resistance to that idea. I have no structure in mind for the task, or this thread, other than 'weekly' to help remind me to be accountable. I'll probably try different things to see what works.
Please feel free to join in.

This morning: -filled trash and recycling bins and took to street -cleaned dishpans -grey water -organized dirty dishes, and they are soaking -put away some dry dishes -slight organization of latest craft project now immobilizing kitchen counter - which was just clear a couple days ago.
Todo: -remove stuff from kitchen floor -breakfast (probably should be called lunch)

While cleaning in the kitchen, it's occurred to me that doing artsy stuff in the kitchen just doesn't work. It's the most convenient place... but it's too messy-making. And too small a space to accommodate both cooking/dishes etc, and being artsy.
So, I've got to find another appealing place to be artsy. I have back rooms that might work, but they don't have good light, nor a view. So I'm going to figure out how/where to put a work table for craft stuff that is near a window, and out of the kitchen.
Done; Washed round 1 and 2 of dishes Made almond milk/cocoa batch Put away (in a box) some crafty things Had lunch and put away
Todo: organize work table near window - there is one that is a bit small, already in place, but I'll try it and see if the idea might be helpful in keeping the kitchen cleaner.
