What do you have to do that you are dreading? Maybe it won't be so bad to just DO IT! This week I had a work meeting on Monday I did NOT want to go to. I thought I'd all the excuses I could use to avoid it. Finally just made myself go and get it over with. It was not bad at all and u actually enjoyed myself and met some new people and saw some old friends. Today I had a phone call to make, again about work stuff, that I didn't want to make. Actually got nauseous. Then I thought the meeting wasnt so bad, if I make this call I won't have to worry about it anymore. It wasn't bad and I feel so much better that I did it! The dread was so much worse than actually doing the task/ going to the meeting.

there is a wonderful phrase " do the thing you fear and see the death of it" this is used for fear of spiders, or airplanes.. where you are exposed over and over to that thing.
we don't have to go that far (having support helps) but I understand the churning stomach or nerves when facing something we think we be negative.
And I keep in mind that MOST people think of themselves only, and aren't plotting or even pay attention to me

Thank you joyinvirginiaThis subject is fascinating to me. I generally push myself to do things and I usually am glad that i did. This comes with the knowledge too that I will sort of be uncomfortable about it until I do it. I average about 1 uncomfortable thing per week.
