I will continue to initiate this challenge each Thursday evening so that those down under and across the pond can get a headstart and get three full days (Fri-Sun) to participate in the challenge. I live in the CDT time zone, so for whatever time zone you live in, allow yourself 72 hours for the challenge, be it hours before or after my CDT time of starting the thread.
What's this challenge all about?
This "Visual Difference Weekend Challenge" is about focusing on one or more areas of your home that irritate you, annoy you, and keep festering in the back of your mind while you go about attending to other life issues.
This challenge is particularly convenient for digital camera users, since you get immediate results of your pictures and can post them without waiting to finish off a roll of film and get it developed.
How does the Visual Difference challenge work?
First post a "before" picture of the area you plan to tackle and a brief description about it. When you've tackled the area, post an "after" ta-da picture with a description about what you went through to accomplish the task.
Special Notes:
To post a picture, you will need to use an image hosting service, such as PhotoBucket.com. Upload your picture there, then paste the IMG CODEs for your pictures here.
What if you post a "Before" picture but never come back with an "After" picture?
No biggie. This doesn't mean you're a failure! Imagine this: You couldn't post an "after" picture, but later on during the week during Mon-Thur you made some progress on the target area. For the next "Visual Difference" weekend, post a new picture of "where you're at" in that area and move on from that point of progress! There's no need to post apologies or regrets. Each Friday starts a new challenge and you get to start "where you're at!"
