The car is getting its interior cleaned right as we speak. I was the first one there, so it will be done in an hour. The place I chose is two blocks from home, which is why I chose it, but the only research I did showed that the place got bad reviews. They complained that they didn't use all of the extra sprays and waxes that they paid for. Nothing about enterior though, and I am not getting the exterior done (unless it is included? no clue). Anyway, I just went there to get it done as fast as possible and move on with my life. My guest is coming in two and a half hours. The only issue that I have is that it is 85 dollars, and I don't really feel like I can afford it. I have 95 cash right here in my pocket, so I have it, but the thing is that money is pretty low for me as I am putting myself through college and my son through private school. I am trying to tell myself that in the long run it won't matter, and that I will be so happy to start over with a fresh clean car, and it will be so good to not be ashamed of my car when I pick my guest up, but it is hard. I keep thinking about the 195 dollar cable bill I am going to need to make an arrangement on. But really, isn't that shallow? Being upset about not being able to afford the cable because you are getting deluxe services on your car when there are homeless people in the world? So really, I should just be grateful that I could swing it, and let it go, because it is already a done deal. Hopefully my guest will pay for everything this weekend and it will make up for the money too. Otherwise I will just need to cut back on excessive spending for a week or two.

You always can rationalize it this way--the people who are cleaning your car NEED your business! No doubt, they are being hard hit by this economy, too. You are helping people to stay employed and to stay in business.

NowNow that I have the car back, the eighty five was so worth it! It is like a brand new car! It was so awful, so embarrassing, so disgusting, so sickening. And now it is like new. It is priceless!

Wonderful! Now get online and give those people a good review. It sounds like they deserve it.

Now that I have the car back, the eighty five was so worth it! plus: - you put some money back into the community and kept the car-wash guys in business
- you have helped others here by posting about the experience (both your anxieties at the beginning and your triumph at the end)
- and now you see that sometimes a little money spent can have huge positive results!!!!
good for you!

That feeling is so great. I have often said that, in my experience, having someone to clean house is better than psychotherapy, as far as lifting my spirits. Obviously having a really messy car taken car of can have the same impact! We are usually willing to pay for assistance with our psychological well-being. It's WORTH IT!
