This is the W.I.T. (Working in Threes or 3's or whatever) thread. EVERYONE IS WELCOME, even if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
.... YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

'morning, Rosebud, MadTiger, CanDo, and creativechaos! Thanks for starting the thread, Rosebud; for being a caring daughter, MadTiger; for perservering despite 80 degree heat and humidity, CanDo; and for tackling those dishes and refrigerator mystery spots and being productive this morning, too, creativechaos. My house feels like a mess today. It'd flunk the visual clutter challenge!!! Airdrying laundry all over the place -- condo folks frown on outdoor clothes drying. Kitchen floor definitely needs sweeping, and I really should have taken table cloth off the table when I did laundry yesterday. TADAs: 1. Up, dressed 2. Brought some stuff over to neighbors which she wanted to borrow for a project 3. Talked to head of maintenance/grounds crew about something outside of my patio which needs his attention. TODOs: 1. Gather up airdrying laundry and put away 2. Tackle that kitchen floor 3. Change dining room table cloth Have a good day, all! WestsideStory

Hi everyone! Thanks for kicking off the thread Rosebud. Wtg 'stepping out' on your morning routine despite the 'don't wannas' Madtiger. Good for you overseeing mom's handicap bar installation, I'm sure they'll make a big difference for her. Hey Cando, you're off to a good start and progressing well, despite the heat Yay for completing rubbish, discard and dish challenge Creativechaos! And planning for training the new person, hope it goes well. Hi Westsidestory, wtg drying that laundry, taking care of yourself, patio and your neighbour. Hey ThreeG, wonderful to hear you're feeling better. Good for you taking things gently and hope you're not overloaded with work this week. Hi Artsy, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Well done organising yourself and doggies so that you can spend time with mum and be there for your friend. Hi reignlong, so glad you found us, you're our 200th member! Cry if you feel the need to - I did the same when I first found out about SS a week ago. Closing of the SS chapter is sad, a bereavement in a way, and there's nothing unusual or shameful in going through a process of grieving. Good for you jumping right into the WIT thread and stepping out. It's a chilly, but beautiful fine and misty morning here. So far I've: Got up Checked emails Checked rabbits Next, I'm going to: Have breakfast Decide what to wear Get dressed

ReignLong==Welcome to SOS! Glad you found your way here...it is distressing when finding out about the old website. I'm so glad that Missy found this and put it together for us. ArtsyGal--Yes, I have 2 dogs. Both "pound puppies". One I was not even intending on or looking to get a dog...but I just fell in love at first sight with the "tail that wagged the dog"... DAngelDog (Mazel) was somewhere between 4 & 8 years old when we adopted her...did not know...but was fully housebroken. They had picked her up as a stray in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in the state.... Saw her on her first day & had to wait to see if someone would come claim her...she was becoming unhealthy there by the day as she refused to go to the bathroom unless she was outside... She is a very calm 33 pound dog...blondish color, short-haired with brown eyes that looks like a deer. (I was only at the pound because I was rewarding my DD from a behavior type chart... her reward was going to look at the kitties). A year after I adopted DAngelDog... my mother stayed with us for a few days that she had never heard of a dog that doesn't bark! We have had her now for about 5 years and now she does bark some. The only thing bad about her is she doesn't like other dogs... so difficult going on walks, parks, etc. Otherwise...she is an "AngelDog". My other one (Nova) is a Catahoula Leopard mix...also from a shelter. She is supposed to be my DD's dog...but you know how that goes. I still call her "puppy" although she is probably about a year old now. She is still, "sooo puppy..."!!! She weighs about 48 pounds now and my avatar is my puppy(although younger in that picture). I adopted her when she was a few weeks old from a very busy pound ands he was to be put down in a couple days if not adopted just because they needed to make room. She was totally flea infested and had tape worms severely... So far, she is wonderful and was easy to housebreak at a young age. The only thing about Nova is she is not able to walk on a leash... We've tried all kinds of things except for a choke or pinch collar. She did well in the training classes...but not so outside. Alright...sorry to bore y'all to tears...got carried away. Madtiger--On the old website in the blog section...one of our members, Celeste, is going through a lot with her Mom who has Alzheimers. There is a lot to be learned through her posts and you may want to check out whereever her new blog is, too. She is a member here & I think she has her website listed, if you check out her name in the members section on this website. Celeste has been wonderful to her Mom and really trying hard to do the best she can for her Mom. 3G--Glad you're feeling better. WestSideStory-- Tadas: 1)went to meeting 2)walked around nearby lake by DS's school since I was early picking him up...1 1/2 miles. 3)picked DS up from school & treated him to nice lunch. Todos: 1)pick up DD from school 2)move load of laundry into washer 3)put another load of laundry in washer Toodle-oo CD
