Glowworm, great job for being so productive at work and on a Fri. too! Have fun researching the plants for your garden, makes me want to do that and i don't even have one. **Must have posted at same time, welcome syzygy!! Glad you're here! tadas -took 4 hr rest, feel much better -unpacked and put away everything I brought (my mom might wonder if I'm really her daughter, but never has she frowned upon me with my squalor) Also when I've stayed with her it was only the room, I'm in that I haven't maintained..... interesting - started moving furniture which might get in her way *bonus made bed after nap todos - run some errands, including getting some sandals, on my mad dash out I only brought the shoes on my feet - run dishwasher and unload - shower/ bath

Glad you're getting settled in and unpacked, ArtsyGal. Must be hard to worry about your friend in one hospital in one state while getting your Mom's home ready for her return from the hospital in another state. Welcome to the new site, reignlong, glad you made it! And glad you're here, too, Syzygy -- taking care of yourself is always worth a big TADA! TADAs: 1. Brought mail into study to open and put junk into recycling 2. Remembered to enter today's expenses in log I am keeping 3. Made some plans for tomorrow TODOs: 1. Run around like a banshee putting away the rest of the airdrying laundry, washing the kitchen floor, and cleaning the toilet bowl like I listed on earlier TODO lists 2. Start dinner 3. Put new table cloth on table Special note to Fuzzychow and any other sibs from Down Under -- I went to one of the largest farmers' markets in my metropolitan area earlier this week. I always go crazy and check out exotic stuff. This time I bought some New Zealand spinach (warrigal sp?) Wish me luck. I am trying a recipe tomorrow I found on the internet. Years ago when I was a kid living on the other coast of the US, my Mom would buy frozen New Zealand spinach as a vegetable. I haven't seen it for sale in the frozen food market since I've been old enough to buy my own groceries, and I think I've seen it at farmer's markets only once or twice before ... Of course, shopping and trying out recipes (now that the dishes are pretty consistently no longer stacked sky high in the sink and that there are at least one or two chairs free from clutter to have a guest over -- ) is so much more fun than rolling up my sleeves and tackling the stuff which keeps my place from looking "better" -- aka, less cluttered, more clean, etc. :/ Hope you all have good evenings/nights! Wtg taking a walk while waiting for DS Cando! And a nice way to round it off and have quality time together. Hi Glowworm! Well done taking care of pets and yourself after a busy day at work. Haven't done much today, think I'm coming down with a cold. Am dressed and have opened curtains and windows. Also did a few things that have been on my todo list for a few weeks: Washed out rabbit food container Washed out food cupboard so I can put food away (currently sitting on bench or in a box) Checked mail Next: Check barley straw to see what's salvageable Do something else and something else again

Hi Syzygy, well done on self-squaloring! Artsy, wtg 'maintaining' the bedroom at your mom's place for the first time and shifting furniture! That nap was obviously what you needed after travelling. Westsidestory, thanks for sharing about finding NZ spinach after so many years. I confess that the term doesn't ring a bell, I may know it by another name - I'll have a quick search and see what I find. Well done tackling laundry Glowworm. Have safe travels and enjoy the wedding tomorrow. I got sidelined and didn't get to the barley straw - ended up attacking the front side garden. Tada: Pruned (massacred?) two trees Weeded the garden Bagged up all the prunings and clippings Fed rabbits In progress: Cooking dinner Next: Eat dinner Wash dinner dishes Put food into clean cupboard Thanks everyone who posted in WITs today. If I don't come back, wishing you all sweet dreams and a good day tomorrow.
