I scooped and scrubbed the box last night. Put the old litter outside in the garbage can and swept the floor. Done and Done!

Bub awesome job!
I redid all 3 litter boxes today. The areas around the boxes ate still sort of yucky with some litter on the floor.

Hi bub,momof3boys, and Unswamping WTG on the scooping, sweeping and washing,
Thanks Unswamping for the trash can suggestion. It makes perfect sense to take the dirty litter outside as soon as it is removed from the litter box. I'll think about it and see if I can come up with a good location for a trash can. One that can't be seen from the street.
momof3boys, I use the Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight mainly because it is so much easier to haul in and out of the house but I find it clumps pretty well and there is an odor control thingy. I like it. Still haven't washed out the other litter tray and I can't think of an adequate excuse for myself. By golly I might have to clean that tray out sooner than latter.
Scooping done.

bub great job on scooping and getting the litter out.
momof3boys great work on redoing the litter boxes.
prettybad great job on scooping. I hope you can find a good location for the trash can. I cant remember if it was lowes or walmart that had a small metal trash can. I dont think it was big enough to fit a kitchen trash bag full but it was big enough to handle a weeks worth of dirty litter. I got the bigger one because i wanted to put food trash and dirty litter in it (we had a bear sighting around the time i bought it, plus regular visits from raccoons).
I did a complete changeover of the litter today. Couldnt remember when the last time i did it but its been smelly stinking.

Oh well done Unswamping. A complete change over is a BIG job. I hope you felt much satisfaction when you completed that job. Good on you. I haven't even looked at the litter since I last posted so I'm going downstairs now to clean and maybe ( inspired by Unswamping ) I might wash out the litter box that is no longer in use but is still hanging around. With apologies to the Rolling Stones I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction 'Till I scoop and I scoop and I scoop and I scoop I can't get no, I can't get no

Okay the deed is done, I scooped and wiped down the walls of the litter box with disinfecting wipes. Not the best job but better than before. And the unwashed litter box wasn't touched but it is still progress so I'm happy. Oh ya and satisfied.

Scooped this morning but the floor needs some attention.

Oh boy, haven't scooped since my last post. It's been crazy busy here with company, my father's hospitalization for rehab and his eye surgery.
But scooping is done now although the floor and surrounding carper needs attention badly.
How can such a small creature produce so much waste???

Haven't scooped since my last post. I've got to get into a daily scooping habit, hopefully, starting today. Scooping done.

Missed yesterday but scooped today. It's hard to understand how such a simple, little task can consume so much will and emotional energy. It will get better.

Scooping was pretty easy today because I had scooped yesterday, there were less kitty nuggets to remove. Brain and emotional self - take note
