I told my senior client that next time we'll write instructions for how to check her email and how to use the library site. I put links to both on the home page.
Today's session was almost totally taken up with maneuvering around the screen. What a cursor is, both arrow and line version. How to move up and down a page. How to close a page. How to click once. How to click twice.
She's using a laptop without a mouse, it has the little pad--which I myself am finding hard to use, because I never used one. She's finding it very difficult. I have an old spare mouse, and I might try to bring it and see if it will work--I think it'll be so much easier--but then, I'm used to the mouse, she's not used to anything--so I don't know if it'll be easier for her or not.
Just using the bar on the right hand side to move up and down the screen is hard for her--she keeps moving the cursor over to the very edge, which turns it into the 2-pointed symbol that lets you move the edge of the window--but she doesn't see that it's different from the arrow. I don't know if she can't see it well enough, it IS very small. She kind of gets the little bar that you grab and move up and down, but can't figure out the up and down arrows at the top and bottom.
I told her that it won't get easier until she practices. However, I'm afraid that if she practices online, something might pop up that she shouldn't click on and there's no way she'll know the difference.

Good evening everypony!
Diane that is very kind of you. There may be a setting to make everything bigger, including the cursor. DM had a problem with the Apple mouse, which is pretty but not ergodynamic. She kept right clicking by accident, and just didn't recognize the dialog box that opened up.

Well i cleaned the two bathrooms. I wanted to stay on top of themy before they started to get that ick factor and would have required a top to bottom scrub.
I scrubbed the inside of each toilet, wiped down the outside of each toilet. Sprayed cleaner and wiped each sink and each floor. Took out the trash in the downstairs bathroom. I will better wipe the upstairs bathroom floor and was the rug and bath mat snd take out that trash at another time.
Made dinner, unloaded and reloaded dishwasher. Washed some plastic stuff and left to dry.
We both made lunches.
I packed up stuff on my daughter's shelving unit in her old room and packed up the dry clean clothes. I am packing too small items in a separate box. With her name on it.
Packed my gym bag with an outfit for tomorrow. My gym clothes and towels are hanging to air out and dry.
Somewhere I have a metal rack that I want to assemble and hang dome things up to start this weeding out process....

OH yeah, I was gonna post.
Today did not start out well. I went on a food binge last night, stayed up late late late watching YouTube, then woke up late and disoriented. Butted in on a phone conversation between DXH and XSO, totally inappropriately. Had to apologize to both. DXH is very depressed, and very angry, and very irrational. It's scary, frankly.
DXH was also very angry about my mess. I was so disappointed, because I thought I was doing so well. I have been trying SO hard to be a good roommate! But if I say that, he thinks I am denying his reality (that there is any mess)--a huge trigger for him. I spent the morning crying. It was a flashback to so much of what was unhealthy in our relationship. I called my tdoc for a phone appt. I gotta get outta here!!!
Anyway, I pulled myself together. I was determined to not derail completely, and get to my consignment appt. Mostly so I don't loose my privileges. So I can report...
DONE: get dressed for the gym look up consignment guidelines pull tote and some clothing from the garage find about 10 things to bring in pack water and protien powder get to appt on time--they accepted some, jeans were too worn and a dress needs to be cleaned went shopping, found some smaller pants that fit now (size 8 and even a 6!) msg'd sponsor texted sponsee and AP got to gym a few minutes late, but jumped right in drove home, picked up mail checked in w/ DXH, he's still grumpy got a lovely PM that made me happy hung up purchases next is open mail--got two packages
not sure what I am going to work on tonight... probably clothes. I need to start packing, I leave on Monday.

Ohblondie, it will be very nice when you get all your kids' stuff out! And can sort your clothing!
Scholar, where are you going on Monday--back to visit your parents?
Sue, did your snow melt? Our predictions are 40s for the next week, so you're probably not going to be too much colder than that?
After my last list I decided to take out some garbage and recycling. While out there, I went down to my storage unit to throw out the bird cage I identified last time, and I also chose a spare small cat carrier that had a badly rusted door, and threw that out too--I have others. Then I talked to my sister, and now I'm eating a quick dinner.
Then I need to start getting ready for bed.
TO DO:
Finish dinner Clean up from dinner Give everyone fresh water Restock drinks in fridge

So you actually go to a cbt meeting? Is it run by a professional or just a kind of support group?

Diane, our snow is slowing melting away every day. Been in the 30s and 40s. But there's a LOT of snow left. Big expanses of white about 6 inches deep in places. And huge mountains of plowed snow in corners of parking lots. Like 15 ft high. Ugh
Gotta go get my clothes out of the dryer, brush my teeth, and go to bed with my book. (The Sugar House - a murder mystery)
Good night 🌙

Interesting, puppy! I'm now ready for bed but I'm going to force myself to finish washing the dishes currently soaking in the dishpan, so that they don't sit for several days and become a gross, smelly mess which I will not want to put my hands into. Next: Wash last soaking dishes CLEAN OUT DISHPAN Brush teeth Diane

Dishes are done, dishpan cleaned, it really didn't take all that long, I don't know why I don't always finish up this job. I also did a little book research, so I know which series I want to start next. I've rejected two series in the last week, so I was able to get rid of a few more books.
Okay, finally time for bed--good night all!
