I don't think we will get much more than a dusting. Sigh.... I noticed today how high in the sky the sun is. But it is bitter bitter cold.
Time for a cup of tea as I finish my afternoon work.

Ohblondie, I was wondering why you sounded sad that you wouldn't get snow and then I realized you want a snow day. Next: I will fold and put away the laundry, and then I'm going to stop for lunch and a reading break. Diane

Finished laundry. Met friend for lunch.

The fence builders are gone for a break maybe late lunch. The fence framing is all done and they started putting up the boards so WOW it won't be long now before completion either tonight or tomorrow morning I think. My elder kitty Marble is not too happy about them being here -- it bothers here the strange truck in the yard. They are not very noisy where she can hear since she's on the couch in the front living room -- and I can barely hear the nailing but she's not too content with the goings ons!!! DONE: * lunch and dishes washed * 3 pouches crocheted * money gotten for final payment of the fence * message to lady facing pancreatic cancer * cleaned the top of the printer!!! I can't get that much done either although the crocheting calms my nerves and I really need to make up a bunch of pouches for the lady that may want to order some more! I'm doing all colors and I made myself a yellow one for 3rd chakra crystals. If those workers finish tonight oh wow will I be happy. The freedom of having it done and being able to come and go and get the truck in from the curb will be great. The main person said they aim to finish tonight. Code for have the money ready I'm sure. DH is really having trouble with getting out of breath. I am really glad his doctor appointment is coming right up - I've had to sit on him to keep him from overdoing.

Puppy, pick something you can declutter while watching tv! Chris, I will keep fingers crossed for the fence to get done tonight. Sounds like you got a good work crew, which I understand is harder and harder these days. I did not do my mail sorting, I'm slowing down now and have to leave for my 5:30 walk in about half an hour, so I'm going to sit and play my new computer game, which I unwisely bought a couple of weeks ago, even though I've always been happy not to spend TOO much time on computer games. I have about half a dozen but the only one that has tempted me has been Plants vs. Zombies. Now I have a new one, which I will not mention, so as not to tempt anyone else to waste time. Although, it's not a traditional game, so perhaps most people would find it boring--not an action game. But I will still keep it to myself! And try not to waste too much time on it. I'll get my bag ready to go and brush my teeth too. See you later this evening! Diane

Left work late, wanted to finish up a letter to my son to drop in the mailbo on my way out.
Came home hungry and ready to order out. Hubby cooked up a skillet meal from the freezer and I ate leftovers. Fridge and fewer less crowded and my bank account was not decluttered.
Load of laundry is running, dishes are washed or in the dishwasher. Running on all cylinders now! Cooking with gas as my uncle says!!

Chris your fence sounds exciting! I hope they get it done today. (Did they ever figure out the pain in your side?) dtesposito Enjoy your game, and thanks for the reminder about games, in general. I keep coming across the idea of playing computer games as a way to keep from snacking, but then I forget about it. Maybe tonight I'll play some Bookworm. I've already had my planned evening snack, and it's only 6:30! Well, I figured I'd knock out the current paperwork and quickly move on to purging old paper piles, but I kept coming up with more things I needed to do. For example, this is the first year DH and I will have to pay estimated taxes every quarter. I had to get the forms and figure out how much we need to pay, enter stuff into Quicken to remind myself to do it in the upcoming quarters, etc.. There's all kinds of little oddball things like that need to be done soon, although nothing is dangerously close to a deadline. It's been weeks since I did a good email purge, so I think that's next on the agenda.

chris, so true about "code for having the money ready!" Glad about the new fence, and the dr. visit. I will *not* pester you about the new game, Diane! Yay for eating in, and decluttering in the correct direction, ohblondie!
I took a power nap. I'm hungry. Chicken is defrosting. But I guess I'll make a smoothie.
Sponsor will call soon. Then I want to work on figuring out what I am going to pack. Oh, and right, Diane, I am visiting my DPs, to help out DM, and hopefully to help out DB's Care Provider's family, too. He is still in rehab, and has no feeling in his leg, last I heard. Not good!

Cooking with gas as my uncle says
Ohblondie, that was one of my mother's favorite sayings! "Now we're cooking with gas!"
I'm home from my walk--it's quite cold outside--it looks springlike with bright sunshine but it's surprisingly cold. I think the temps are up and down across the week.
TO DO:
Finish dinner Clean up from dinner Give everyone fresh water Restock drinks in fridge
