Is anyone else having problems with these? Some of them are fine in my posts, but in the same posts you can see some that are now working right. The exact same ones that are working are also not working in the same post... in the same paragraph, even. I will try it here, and see if it happens.  And, now Let's see if it is working here. Well, it seems to be working in this post, but not in my private blog, post on this site, today. CD |

The same thing is happening with the first post of the Candle thread; and in this case, the images are all hotlinked from my paid photobucket account. When I fix one image in that post, then one of the other images breaks.
It seems to be happening if there are a lot of images within a single post. The first post in the Candle thread has 12 images, and I can seem to get only about 8 to 10 of them working at once. The remaining posts in the candle thread have less than 8 images, and they display fine.

Update to add: There is the same issue with the images in the Purge-a-thon FAQ thread too. I have a gold star at the beginning of each paragraph. There are three stars at the end of the paragraph Why do we do a group purge every June? but only one displays. The rest are in weird code.

I checked some of my old posts that have lots of images within a single post. They are all having the same problem.

CourageouslyLion SeeksSerenity i mentioned that post in an earlier thread by Irisheyes. Originally i had 8 smilies in it. When i posted it, i thought it would look better if i added one more so i edited the post (which made 9). After i saved my edit, i saw that some didnt look right so i did another edit, thinking i must have messed up the bbc code when i did the first edit. I took out the top line of smilies and redid them. They looked ok after i saved it but now i see it doesnt look right again. So maybe, more than eight is a problem?

That was exactly my experience.
And I drew the same conclusion -- maybe the problem is more than eight smilies within a single post.

For anyone who had this problem, some of your images might be magically restored. Other may have to be re-edited back into whatever post had been messed up. Or you could just give yourself amnesty from fixing any of the broken images.
