I've had it with the mess! I'm tired of this cycle that I'm on - work hard to get things looking nice then let everything go until the next time I work hard to get things looking nice again.
Please send out the search dogs if I vanish folks!!
Round #1: 15 min ~ Kitchen 15 min ~ Living Room 15 min ~ Bedroom Start Load of Laundry

Take breaks, don't burn out, and watch out for the perfectionism monster.
You are doing awesome!

Good for you for doing 15 min. at a time. (Don't forget to take breaks, drink water, eat healthy food, do something nice for yourself every now and then during the process.) I think it may save you from "the cycle" of 'marathon screaming banshee madwoman insanity,' as Script so colorfully and aptly described it in another post! (I loved that.) I DO have the dogs ready, just in case (based on what I read in all these posts, you won't be lost for lack of dogs! !)

Ok, I didn't get much done yesterday between feeling bad and gray, wet, cold weather here . But today is a new day!! Got my and I'm getting ready to get this house clean only this time I plan to stay on top of things during the week and not let it fall apart like I always have and wait until the next big clean. I need to re-wire my brain. I had to work all last weekend so this house has had 2 weeks of letting it go . Round #1 Gather dirty clothes Straighten Kitchen Clean Kitchen

I'm in crisis mode. Finished shopping except for a few Christmas details. Sick today with a head cold, I slept till 5 at night Saturday. Will clean house by 15 minute chunks. You guys inspire me! Five days till Christmas. I CAN do it!

Wonderful work, CG. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you can do much crisis cleaning, it is good. If you are ill, or had to work, at least commit to doing 15 minutes. If that is too much, you will at least get 5 minutes done. Other days, you will be inspired, and do 20 minutes. It WILL make a difference, combined with your determination!
